3k vs 700 for almost identical power..less cleaning and not worried about scratch..plexiglass is always scratching over time..jmo..fair testing and well done

Definitely interesting numbers. Looks like JLT isn't a bad option for those looking for a cheaper intake that isn't as pretty as the Eventuri but still put down some power!

We appreciate you doing this testing & are excited to see future posts : ) We'll be doing our own in-house testing on a completely stock car with a time lapse during the whole process as we know the internet trolls love saying " Dyno numbers aren't real!!". So be on the lookout for Robwithaz06's car to have OEM air box, JLT air box & Eventuri air box (no other bolt on performance parts) tested once our paid for JLT intake arrives to Paragon without the car ever leaving the climate controlled dyno room.

Just ordered jlt once confirmed it had some decent numbers..I know guys spending 4k on hi flow cats and are lucky to average half that gain ..tb looks interesting...need to see how they do without a tune and not throwing codes later..ran a nick Williams 102 tb on my 427lsx and had issues going into limp mode..finally had to swap it

Peak power may be similar but the eventuri is leaps ahead in the midrange. Honestly, if you can afford a z06 you can swing from the more expensive intake that gains you so much more usable power over the cheaper intake.

Great analysis! the difference of around 20hp at points in the mid range is pretty massive. That alone is worth the extra cost. Peak hp really dont mean anything you always have to take a look at the whole graph to really see the difference. That is why you are seeing people drop almost 1 second in their 60-130 times. Would be good to compare 60-130 times between the eventuri and jlt.

EVENTURI had 7.5ft.lbs more peak torque and significantly better performance under the curve 😄

@@gen1c8rs88 that’s correct….. peak to peak. Keep in mind the Eventuri had substantially more gains in the midrange. Both intakes made great power and can’t go wrong with either in my opinion. I like them both

DBM, Great job on this video! I mentioned on another post, since I road trip and travel in my Z06 that the Eventuri clear cover would probably get scratched/damage from gear and luggage! I'm really liking the JLT CAI ! Nice job again, I subscribed too! -Shane

Thanks Shane! Yah man that JLT intake is actually a great piece! My Eventuri clear cover actually had some damage when it arrived because there was an acrylic cube of the filter in the box as an added gift and it came out and was bouncing all over. Paragon made it right IMMEDIATELY but I can see if you actually used your trunk that may be a problem down the road. My trunk is for my white New Balance only. HAHHA

Thanks for the due diligence! I'm wondering your thought about simply adding the ported throttle bodies while retaining the stock airbox. Would you say that gave noticeable improvements at lower speeds and in the mid range?

Thank you! I have TONS of Holley EFI and products on other builds! My Boss 302 swap 2003 Mach 1 literally has the Holley catalog on it. It was in the Holley Booth at the Inaugural Ford Fest in Bowling Green it has so much of the Holley stuff on it including the dominator. Thanks for watching and commenting! Eventuri makes 20hp more than the jlt in the midrange. That's super important because that's where you'll be spending most of your time. Peek hp is cool but the only way you ever feel that difference is when it's wound all the way out.

Top number doesn't mean much except for marketing :-) hard to read exactly in the 5-6 range, the E is ~ +40 and the J is ~+20? Eventuri is gorgeous but don't like it sticking out further into trunk though. Thanks for posting as I'm looking to buy an intake right now while everything apart

Your numbers are correct….. in the midrange the Eventuri is about +40 and the JLT is about +20. I have more than a few friends that don’t want to cut the carpet or lose trunk space and have already placed JLT orders. I say it on the video….. for the price point there you can’t go wrong with the JLT. It makes GREAT power as well! DEFINITELY do it while everything is apart so you don’t have to do it again 😎. Stock airbox is kind of a pain to remove. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I would choose the JLT mainly because I don’t care to cut out my trunk liner, and I plan to travel and would over time scratch the clear cover up with things in the trunk. Obviously the Eventuri has its own air filters looking at the shape/size difference. Does the JLT have its own filters too? How expensive are they compared to OEM and how easy or difficult are they to change out? Thanks for the great content! 👍

I have heard from a lot of folks with the same sentiment in regards to cutting carpet and trunk space. Yes the JLT intake has its own filter and it’s actually designed so it’s quite easy to change. Literally just pull a clear panel off the front and change it out. Not sure on cost yet because the JLT intakes aren’t actually shipping out yet. It seems like the Eventuri intake made more Tq, and since its midrange gains were so high AND it looks awesome, it is the clear winner. Come on, we spent $100k plus on the car, so why not get the better intake, IMO?

@@allsportsexpert You don’t watch carefully when I explain the Eventuri makes 40 horsepower and 40 wheel torque in the midrange. Anyone who knows anything about interpreting dyno results should know that peak power isn’t as important as area under the curve. I even post the dyno graphs so you can see for yourself. You are talking about peak numbers. And where are you running? No one is running in this video….. the car doesn’t even move. It’s stationary on the dyno. Two can play the smartass game…. And you said 500 hp stock LMAO. It’s 600 REAR WHEEL HORSEPOWER it’s a Z06 not a stingray. Not 500 horsepower on any “pull”. And just to help you better understand….. 40 wheel horsepower and 40 wheel torque without a tune is a MASSIVE increase.

@dbmracing2019 English words often have multiple meanings. I run for a mayor, I run a test, I run a dyno test. Did you miss your English classes in middle school? You did show the test results for 1 second, but your graphs are so hard to see; lines are faint, and fonts used are small. 40 additional hp in a ZO6 is not going to do anything for performance, and your point about massive without a tune doesn't make it any more useful, just confirms it is a big waste of money. Besides, dyno results do not translate into performance. Physics 101, as long as the air temperature and pressure remain the same, with or without modification, it does nothing to increase oxygen in the cylinders for combustion. Turbo charger increases pressure thus increasing the amount of oxygen into the cylinders.
