13:57 Apparently, if you jack up the car and let the wheels hang in the rear, you can pop out the rear splash guards and slide them up to the top off the wheel where the gap will be big enough to pull them out. I haven’t installed the rear ones on my Z06 yet because I don’t have the jacking pucks yet. The front ones work great though and stop a lot of the debris from hitting the door and the rear quarter panel vent.

@@Brandonsgarages Have you called up any folks out there to look for a small brake conversion or ask if they'll build one if you use your car as the test bed? Might be worth it for the community to have C8 drag-pack parts. I know modern supers and sports cars are warthogs in the weight department, but this forced move to 19" and 20" wheels seems excessive. The Mopar cars are a good 20-30% heavier, go just as fast, and survive just fine on brakes that'll fit 18" wheels, so there's no excuse really for these to be forced to 19" at least not at the rear. I think, much like your choice of 235s on the front to keep it multi-purpose, that a car like this could work great with brakes sized for a 17" or at least 18" and truly 15" but at LEAST 17" rear. The older Corvettes sure did so, and they were in the low to mid 3000s range for weight, too.

I feel with the Eventuri and the headers with exhaust you’ll be close to 50 but we feel the cats probably offer the biggest actual restriction in the exhaust and may want to consider doing hi flows or deletes if you’ll have all that off anyway and do it once. Definitely wish the cc brake rotors were 395mm instead of 397mm for a 275/35r19-345/30r20 OEM setup, though 285/35r19 on 10.5's and 345/35r19 on 13 would be ideal with the OEM brakes for me.
@Brandonsgarages10 күн бұрын
@@gen1c8rs88 I like the idea of the 20 just because they actually offer a slick although only 11.5 inches wide and 29 inches tall think it would stick w a 12 inch wide rim. Not sure what you would need up front tho because that tall of a tire will kill gearing some and the Nannie’s freak out with big changes to diameter.
@gen1c8rs8810 күн бұрын
@Brandonsgarages This would be be my road course setup. OEM diameter is 26.5/27.8 on 10/13, my OEM set up is 26.5/28 on 10/13, my ideal * setup is 26.8/28.4 on 10.5/13. On C7's that's going from a 335/25r20 to 345/30r19(345/35r18 for road course) when comparing a 345/25r21 to a 345/35r19. Wouldn't mind going to a 295/35r18 on 11's(26×12.25) and a 345/35r18(27.4×14.25) on 13's with aftermarket 380mm rotors/calipers.
