প্রায় আড়াই মাস পর প্রকাশ্যে বিক্ষোভ মিছিল করেছে চট্টগ্রাম আওয়ামী লীগ। এর প্রতিবাদে ১৯ অক্টোবর বিক্ষোভ সমাবেশ করেছে বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলন। শিক্ষার্থীরা এ সময় আওয়ামী লীগ, যুবলীগ ও ছাত্রলীগ নিষিদ্ধের দাবি জানান।
