Thanks for the lesson, Chad. I've perfected my glass-like finish, also using Mercury Flex thin and medium, but I've been sanding down some high ridges to get there. Using my Beall buffer with rough and white diamond, I only need to sand to 3200 Micromesh. It's much faster than going through all the pads and then the polish. It looks like your method of applying the CA could quite possible make me the fastest perfect CA finisher on the planet!

So if I follow what you have done, and I believe I do, with the exception of using a different brand of CA. What would cause the finish to crackle in sunlight…ie: leaving it in the vehicle. Is this going to happen regardless of the glue type or is this indeed a manufacturer issue,or is there indeed a flaw in my technique that I’m just missing? Again I don’t see anything you are doing different from my process… Any help is appreciated!

with CA finish.... micro mesh or zona?? or will either do?

Either will work fine, I prefer zona.

Have you ever had water seep into the wood from the ends? That has always been my concern with wood.

it has not been an issue I have had, I'm sure it could happen but you can seal up the ends with some thin CA before you start
