I love the spontaneity of travel and the serendipity of meeting new people and finding places you didn’t know about 😃

Exactly! The best places are often hidden to the public. The person who recommended this place we met during a hike and they invited us to visit at their house too. Such a lovely family and great to meet with the locals. It's great to just go with the flow while travelling. And the tour guide from this video also recommend us a place we would have skipped otherwise that really has a breathtaking view. But that's a story for in a few weeks. 😉

Absolutely agree. Less people and more nature. The quiet also gives way to seeing more animals. Really a hidden gem and a great place to visit.

Hi there, I didn’t see your latest video on Herman's Sunday FB post, so I decided to check out my subscription feed instead. Wow, what a brilliant recommendation from Eric! Stunning footage of the birds and the monkeys, I laughed out loud at the "five second rule!". The drone footage was a particular highlight of this video as well.
@BakkerfeelingAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Due time differences when Herman posts, it's still relatively early over here so i often come a bit "later" to the party. Thanks for checking. 😊👍 It really was a brilliant recommendation. And our tour guide here recommended another amazing spot which we will feature soon. The best places are often those that get recommended by locals and are lesser known to outsiders. Such an amazing place to enjoy the biodiversity and also being able to fly the drone. And it goes to show even animals have the 5 second rule... 😂

Such beautiful wildlife out there. All getting fed without wastage on the system. We really can learn from the way these relate with their environment. Oh no not a place to test the water at all. The croc or even microorganisms will see to that. Reminds me of leeches as well.
@BakkerfeelingAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Oh yes, I didn't even though about the leeches. Let's stay in the boat! 😄 But it's great to see the crocs and other wildlife so close and in their natural habitat. Such a system indeed. This really is an amazing place to visit and experience.

Hi, great video. We are visiting CR in March. Did you say the best time to see the birds are January-April during dry season?
@BakkerfeelingAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tracy and thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed the video, it really is an amazing place to visit. As for your question; In a nutshell, correct. To be honest, anytime is a good time to see birds in Costa Rica as the birds to watch will just be different each season. In case of Caño Negro, the dry season is when most of the birds are in the area. We shot this video around the beginning of February so this gives a good representation of the dry season experience.

@@tracyreaume6451 A great time to visit. Of course i don't know your itinerary but Caño Negro really is worth the visit. And Caño Negro Experience makes special offers for our viewers. Their contact information can be found in the description of this video. I love that this area is not crowded or touristy ;-)
@BakkerfeelingAdventures2 жыл бұрын
It absolutely is a perk. No hotels or massive restaurants, shops or other. Just a small authentic town. Of course there are accommodations and places to eat but non commercial. So peaceful and better for nature and also for wildlife spotting.

I would NOT want to walk under a tree full of iguanas!!! If one dropped on my head I would have a heart attack!
@BakkerfeelingAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Or if they dropped something else on you while being under it, that ain't great either... 😂 Quite a beautiful creature to see up close though... on the ground of course. 😉 In some countries they even eat them and refer to them as tree chickens.
