Yes I've watched it a couple of times now Caan and am still amazed that those two Hills employees phoned the Police making him feel like a criminal for just going to pick up a winning bet, and as for the way those two Police Officers dealt with the matter it was comical as they too never knew what to do, but in my opinion they should NOT have called in the first place, still I guess that's what a lot of Bookmakers tell there employees when a punter comes into there shop with a winning bet for a large amount of money. Now I myself spend many hours a day in a William Hill shop near me but do not spend a great deal of money there like some people, but I would be truly surprised if the staff in this William Hill shop would refuse to pay me out or treat me like a criminal the way those two did with that man, anyway thank you for posting this video and the many others you have sent out about these unscrupulous Bookmakers and the tactics they use into avoid paying people and I also look forward to others you send, but one last thing though and that is what are your thoughts on William Hills S.B.T. machines.

I recently placed bets on Katie Taylor's last fight in Dublin. All the soft book makers were offering long odds on a knockdown in the first round and even longer odds on KT being knocked down in round 1. I backed it at around 70/1. I worked in a Ladbrokes for about 2 years started as a cashier and move to a CSM/ CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER basically a underpaid shop manager... Paddy Power refused to pay me out a £900. win They told me that they only took the bet on because they thought that it was going to lose. As regards the Ladbrokes snow bet even if the events had been unrelated which quite obviously they weren’t there would have been a restriction on the maximum payout on such a market. Not being someone who bets on snow I’m not au fait with the max on such a market but I’d be surprised if it was more than £50,000. And if you’re going to do accumulators you really do need to know the rules . Yes he wouldn’t have got £50,000 either but still

Caan the thing that jumps out at me from the examples you give is that with the exception of skybet they’re all bookies with decent reputations so far as paying out is concerned. Yet there are plenty of very dubious bookies with appalling reputations-mainly foreign ones- and yet they barely feature in these kind of videos. Think I saw 32red recently but surprisingly few others . Do you not get lots of complaints about the lesser bookies then ?

The Ladbrokes one is just stupidity on the cashiers part and not Ladbrokes. Any bettor with half a braincell knows that they would never get an acca on those selections. If they wanted a price on it snowing in all of those places it would have been a special odds request to the traders who in all honesty would probably refuse it or give an incredibly low price. Also, Terms and Conditions have maximum payouts. Notice how this one didn't go to court or anything, the customer knew he was trying it on.

The first one with Bet 365 is clearly a breach there is no way a student had £25k it was obviously staked for other punters with restrictions so they were lucky to get a payout there. The William Hill one an advantage player who managed to get too much on. I don’t blame them for not paying out, was probably a runner for a bigger punter. Should have had SOW done on him before the bet was even taken. So many fraudsters about in the betting industry.

If ladbrokes were right, why did they accept the bet? They don't in Australia because the law states that they have to pay it out if they took the bet, even as a mistake (Ladbrokes). Miraculous how they don't alter their systems to stop such bets being taken in the UK isn't it? Or is it because they know its a way of keeping extra money because they can do such shitty things?

@@CaanBerryProTrader How would a cashier know it was an accumulated bet? They don't even read the things half the time other than the stake amount, the till works out the return if there is one. They didn't keep the money, they paid out on all single bets, which is correct. I bet the customer knew he was pulling a fast one though.

The same way they do (same company) in Austalia - the till system. The company are the ones pulling a fast one - there's no excuse for it in 2024. They didn't pay out anywhere near the full amount, if you read the articles the customer was oblivious. If these companies can track every inch of a customers life and ensure they only accept valid slips where they operate in other countries they can do it here. It's just that its more profitable for them to pull a fast one, I have zero sympathy for them.

@@CaanBerryProTrader I get what you are saying, but it's a related bet and clearly covered in the rules. You can't bet on a horse to win and get a place as a double, it's treated as two singles. So why would they let you bet on a white xmas in Newcastle and Sunderland as a double? It's almost impossible not to be both, or neither. They probably didn't advertise this at the time, as the marketers don't always understand betting.

It also says that they can keep your money if someone has transfered you money (third party betting) in their rules, or that if they believe you have colluded with someone (like betting tips they advertise). I understand what a related contingency is, but the responsibilty is on them (they manage it elsewhere as I said). We're not in a 1960's smoke filled betting shop with no computer anymore - there's no excuse. Blaming the marketing team or the cashier is weak, these companies turn over billions every year and track thousands of data points, they could at least sort their core business out instead of blaming the customer after the fact. The same company even advertised related contingencies in the past, its boring, its never their fault and they get to keep the money - ridiculous.

Yes, a conflict of interests especially when half the PL are sponsored by betting companies! People like Betway, pay the PL to advertise at very times round the pitch. You start getting very odd decisions like Sheff United, getting a last minute penalty against West Ham, when the player fouled the keeper.
