In the overall profit step, what is the difference in TYU 4 and 5? Why is 1.5 -1 = 0.5 and 6+6 = 12. In TYU4 we are saying remaining 0.5, then by that logic TYU5, 6-6, remaining should be 0, right?

Why is cost to be incurred in relation to project taken as asset? In eg you gave

Because that expense is directly related to making of the project and it will be written off as depreciation/ammortisation during the life of the project.
