Because pass book/bank statement is prepared by bank and for them money that you have in their account is a liability for them. That is why they show it as a credit balance (liability has a credit balance)

Its because the amount that we have in our bank account is a liability for the bank. Bank has to pay that amount to us whenever we demand it. This is the reason why vmbank shows that amount as Cr. Which is Shown as Dr in our account

passbook k balances cashbook se reverse kyu hote h?

Because passbook is prepared by bank and if you have some amount in your bank, it is a liability for bank as they owe you that balance. So it has a Cr balance. So it means if we have 1000 in bank, for us it is asset so Dr balance in cash book And for bank it is liability, therefore, bank shows it as a credit balance
