Even when a Pashtoon character is portrayed as an engineer, they're still depicted as technologically illiterate. Unable to understand live locations or read basic signs? It's demeaning and perpetuates negative stereotypes. And another thing, why is it that every time a Pashtoon is mentioned, naswar is somehow thrown into the mix? It's a lazy and inaccurate trope that reduces an entire culture to a single habit. Pashtoons are a diverse and vibrant community, with contributions to Pakistan's culture, economy, and history. They deserve respect, not ridicule. These stereotypes harm entire communities, reinforcing bias and promoting division. Media needs to do better. Casual racism against Pashtoons is unacceptable. Before creating content for views, it's essential to thoroughly research and consider the impact of your script. As a media professional, it's crucial to recognize the weight and power of words. Irresponsible content can perpetuate harmful stereotypes and biases, causing harm to individuals and communities. It's time to take responsibility for the content we create and ensure that it promotes respect, inclusivity, and understanding.
