Love these Freight Rambler videos, as I have said before somewhere these videos are my early morning bit of peace and quiet before the day erupts. Always been a lorry driver but these videos are something else, beautiful countryside great diesel engine rumbling away, what more would you want, thanks.

Love this vid. I looked up the area on Google Earth and it is an interesting place. I am probably going to have a drive down from the North East in the better weather to have a couple of days look around. Freight lines are brilliant, I missed my vocation!!

That bit of track is in better nick than the mainline across the marsh to gravesend. I imagined it to be a rollercoaster track down there

Great video. Looking at the bridges, did this used to be double tracked?

What is the white plate with black "V" on it? 7.49. Where do you obtain the token, the wood hut?

Good question the sign with the black " V " is a Remote Ground Frame Marker these where introduced in 1996, and where aimed at warning drivers in the event of detection being lost, at ground frame operated points in remote locations ( such as here ) sited in facing direction of points, it basically means stop here, until the shunter has opened the ground frame ( in this case for access to Bretts ) and called you on. The Cliffe Token Machine is housed in the small hut.

I saw the ground frame but never connected the two. Interesting. Thanks.

Hoping your route knowledge can help me out! What is the "v" sign above the 20mph speed board at 7:46?
