Cab ride as CN

Three CN SD40-2s (5333, 5329 [wide nose units] & 5382 [ex UP]) push about 40 loaded gypsum cars up the steep grade from mile 10.7 of the Dartmouth sub to the National Gypsum ship loading facility at Wrights Cove Dartmouth on 14 January 1999. First we see the view from the lineside and then the in-cab view with a discussion on train handling while pushing up grade.

Amazing the difference of the quality of the film/video (whichever this was) in 1999 compared to today. Still a nice video. North American cab videos are very rare.

Ernest Zuidinga CN engineers did not like the desktop control stands and went back to the control stands though this locomotive was built about 40 years ago.
