We have stayed at both and you hit the nail on the head. We are semi-locals (less than three hours from Disney) so when we go with family with kids, we stay at Cabana Bay so the kids can use the lazy river and we can bowl etc. But when just my wife and I go, we stay at one of the Endless Summer resorts because it is the best bang-for-the-buck deal at any of the major parks.

Cabana Bay family suites have either 2 queen size beds, or 2 full and 1 queen bed
