Hi Kelly, thank you for giving this great tour of the sheltered balcony. I like it better than a regular balcony, except for the fact you can't see through it sitting down (can you?). It seems like you get a little more balcony space with sheltered, as well as a lower price. I don't know why they give a lower rate on this type, but yay for us, right? Thanks again, Jim

Thank you! No, you can't see anything sitting down on that balcony. But on the Transatlantic, it was too windy the whole time to sit out, anyway. In Norway, it would've been nice to have been able to sit and watch the scenery, but this is perfect for a TransAtlantic! It was definitely less expensive than a standard balcony, and I thought it was great.

There should have been a pair of bathrobes hanging inside the bathroom door - hopefully those were delivered as part of the evening 'turndown service'

Yes my family down the hall had some and I never got any. I didn't bother saying anything because I didn't think I would use it but I did wonder about that!

Hi, thank you! The movement of the ship was minimal. We were really surprised. The captain commented that it was the smoothest crossing he'd ever had, as well. My room (4066) was very quiet. However, my family was five doors down in 4076, and there was a LOT of noise in their room at night, lots of bumping and crashing. We think it was from the theater (or possibly Illuminations, I don't remember) that was directly underneath their room.

In October I will be in 5221, one deck above. I have been on Queen Elizabeth and HAL Oosterdam (same class of ship), look very similar. I use a CPAP machine and on them I didn't need to use an extension cord, looks like it might be the same on QM2?

Are those American plugs? Is this a regular balcony or Britannia Club?

If you go about 2 minutes in, you'll see three American plugs and two non-American plugs. This is a deck 4 sheltered balcony Stateroom. It is not part of any of the Britannia club suites or grills
