Hi, I already saw the previous answer: "The VB fittings have actually been designed for putting up large wardrobe cabinets that need to be dis- and reassembled for transportation" but can you explain me the differences between these two: - VB 36 M / 19 for 19 mm shelves - nickel plated - 0 065 521 - VB 20 for 19 - 20 mm shelves - nickel plated - 0 025 049 1 I can see the main hole`s size is different - 20mm (goes 12.5 inside the shelf) vs 30mm (goes 14.5mm). Which one is more durable (i.e. higher load capacity)? Which one is preferable for 18mm shelves / sides? What is the difference between 'with' and 'without rib' versions? Which dowel is recommended to be used with both of them for 18/19mm shelves - DU 321/279? In my case I want to use it for connecting *ALL* side panels to the bottom / top / shelves. Thanks in advance!

Hi, i am already using some of the Hettich systems, however did not knew you sell these amazing tools. My local Dealer has not told me about those. I would like to know if these VB fittings also work in bigger cabinets, such the kitchen floor cabinets or if there is any limit in the dimensions of the cabinet to build. Is this assembly system appropraite to build durable furniture? Indeed, can these fittings be used to build drawers? Thank you!

Hagi Valle, we're sorry to hear that your dealer missed to tell you about it - on the other hand: "At least there's some value in this KZbin channel for you" ;-) The VB fittings have actually been designed for putting up large wardrobe cabinets that need to be dis- and reassembled for transportation. Rastex offers special features that support the assembly process, also when mounting extra shelves between 2 sides after the main cabinet is already assembled. So yes, they are absolutely appropriate for durable furniture. You can find all the specs in our catalogue: www.hettich.com/blaetterkataloge/TA_2013/en_DE/blaetterkatalog/index.html?startpage=2259 You can also use them on drawers, but we'd recommend other solutions to build the boxes. You could e.g. use Rastex connecting fittings, which are less visible. When used with drawers, VB is often applied to connect the bottom of very wide drawers to the front panel to prevent sagging or pulling the front of the drawer bottom. Dear Welesqwerty, we are not exactly sure, but believe you are asking about the 2nd side of the black jig for drilling the dowels. These drill sleeves have a different distance to the edge of the side panel. They are to be used if the top or bottom panel have another board thickness: one side is for 16mm, the other for 19 and 22mm board thickness.
