How do we calculate or derive the cross-sectional area of a conductor once measuring the diameter? Always the declared cross-section is less than πr^2 .

Great video, so what is the best sort of cable to use for 6-8 OHM floorstanding speakers eachwith 250WATTS music power and both 5 feet from the amplifier which is 280WATTS? Possibly 16 gauge copper or aluminium....

On 4:05 its not concentric , I think its Unilay, coz it looks like to be on the same direction to me. I could be wrong though!!

Unilay stranding is more flexible. Counterpart creates greater memory causes higher springback.
@bitTorrenter4 жыл бұрын
@@alexmak1477 Clearly counter laying creates extra stiffness. Technically, what kind of increased strength it induces I do not know.

How is copper inexpensive? Its not gold, but still expensive, hence the reason most company's use aluminium now days, and the reason why some low life's try and steal copper busbars from substations. Then get them selves blown up..
@arthas6407 жыл бұрын
I love those idiots, their always getting caught or killed. Copper is moderately low cost because its easy to recycle and becuase the largest copper producers are in countries that have very low wages, mainly Chile.
