In the table at 0:35 it says Category 5 Ethernet is 1000BASE-T but I thought Cat5 was 100BASE-TX and it was Cat5e that was 1000BASE-T?

The IEEE 802.3 standard states that the minimum supported twisted pair cable for 1000BASE-T is Category 5, not Category 5e.

So….we use SERIAL CONSOLE CABLES instead of Rollover Cables for the switch and router management ports now? Not too clear there. You mentioned both

It depends on the switch or router. You might need one or the other.
