I like how you made this, well thought through (even though the front flippers are the big ones 😉. I love how you experiment.

Very clever, Great design. Did you know many Native American tribes call North America Turtle Island?
@missnancylee69814 жыл бұрын
Hey Diana 🙋. There is a city in the northern part of the lower peninsula of Michigan. It's name is Macinaw City. As the story goes, the name comes from either French or the local indian word (or both) for turtle. Just a bit off shore on the Lake Huron side is an island called Macinaw Island. On the island there's a fort left over from the French and indian war (or some other war). The name of the fort is "Fort Michila-Macinaw". I think that may be "Little Turtle", or whatever. Anyway, just a bit of trivia for fun😸.

Love your turtle pendant, especially the blue sodalite one. What a great idea. Will have to try this when I get home. Can you use some glue in the back to hold it firmer?

Hey 🙋. I'm glad you are feeling better 😌. I love the little turtle. He sooo koot. Whatever happened to the first little guy you made? or don't I want to know? 😧😐

He's a bit off, first not anatomically correct - the big flippers should be in the front. He's still sitting on the table

I'm new to this and would love to try and see what I can create myself! Can anyone be as so kind to tell me where I can get the stones that are used for this project as well as the wire and what is used for a chain and where can I find the anvil that is used to hammer out the wire. I know it's a lot to ask for but appreciation is beyond saying if I can get someone to help me with the questions that I have. Thanks in advance!! Belinda

Belinda, most of it is keywords on amazon. Just try words "stone cabochon", "mini anvil" check the dimensions of every stone, 12 gauge aluminum brown, 26 gauge antique copper wire.

I like the turtle, you sound a little better after resting. I'm not tryin g to advertise anything but my daughter turned me on to this Cold ease stuff, that's its name but not sure how it is spelled, if you use it as you feel something coming on it goes away very quickly. This is really a nice pattern for a turtle though, and the smaller wires kind of look like the markings on his shell. Cool Beans :)

Do you really need the smaller wire on this piece? I prefer never to use it if I can help it. Is there a way to use one small piece of the same wire instead?
@MattsCrazyArt4 жыл бұрын
I tried several patterns with just the thick wire. It wasn't secure enough. There is probably a way but I haven't found it yet where it's secure enough that I feel safe giving it to someone.

Just wondering if we could hammer a section at a time before moving on to shape the next bit? It’s impressive how well you anticipate the dimension changes but lesser mortals might not do as well...
