I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. But hopefully riding around China Beach Aftercake has made you a sand riding expert. Also if youre racing out there on Sunday then how are you gonna feed me cookies at West Point Inn? You''ll owe us cookies Ben!

They really replaced Val di Sole with this...? Apart from that start drag and 1 sand sections it's not the most inspiring of tracks. Best of luck Sunday!!

I will say the days of riding that ive had around the race are probably better than the riding in Val di Sole in the snow ;)

@Benjamfred warmer weather is always more preferable than snow but the point was that Val di Sole was unique, added something to the WC that you couldn't get anywhere else. This looks generic and they could have made it so much better. I love sandy races like Koksijde and Zonhoven. Missed opportunity I think. Do we know if the racing is going ahead?

Yes I did enjoy that and best of luck to you. Seascapes aside that is an ugly course - I swear you could have been in the Florida panhandle with that terrain. Can we call it a “sand crit?” I guess the UCI will go anywhere that pays their exorbitant event fee.

Hey @neilashton9459, I'm here and not complaining! To be fair to lots of courses in the "motherland" of Belgium, are literally fields full of cow sh*t and we hold it up to be the "VERY BEST RACING EVER"! And also, racers make the race. We'll have some fun and the time spent here around the race has been amazing.
