R.I.P. SGM Cacoy Canete... I laugh from all the comments down here, Ciriaco "Cacoy" Canete, never lost a fight, do your research, he was one of the greatest eskrimadores of all time, and he is just teaching the techniques in this videos, he could kick your ass blindfolded with his stick even when he was 90'ish years old. What have any of those who make harsh comments have accomplished something in your life, this man even created a martial art. He will always be rememberd by thousands or even millions of people, cannot say the same for any of us. But, since all of the people that comment here are expert martial artists greatest than the real and true martial artists, like SGM Cacoy... maybe I'm just wrong or stupid... yeah... that may be the reason. He didn't buy his title, he earned it with dedication, hard training, effort, time, mastering a lot of different skills, he mastered doce pares multistyle system before he creted his own, he developed eskrido, he investigated a lot, and brought different ideologies and techniques to enrich the art of eskrima, he mastered various martial arts, chinese, japanese, and different styles from the phillipines... but yeah, all of you must be right. He was just a lazy-didn't even know a thing or two-do nothing-crazy-old man. I kneel and vow to all of you grand masters of youtube... Not real... bah, well... go to the streets and just get into some fights, they are free and easy to get, you don't need to pay a monthly fee in your dojo, studio, kwoon, or however you call your training place, cuz they don't train the real stuff there, in the street they'll give you your real speed, power, no compliant thing your searching for. Bunch of morons... Bye bye, so sorry for my english. Greetings from Mexico dumbasses.

it's became people lie, cheat and steal from innocent people. they claim to teach effective moves. well the moves can be good but their training is bad. it's not realistic at all. that's why people complain and trust me you best start thinking for yourself or you will be scammed and it could cost you your life.

I trained wc in japan osaka for 3 years and a master frm phils called benny came to give us classes of arnis...his dad was one of the 13 moosketers who torn to pieces the japanese soldiers when they started to defend their country in ww2...their art is tested in combat you internet trolls...let me tell you that in france we have fencing since many centuries, the musketeers had a school called CADET SCHOOL and it still exist in metro cadet...there I met masters of swordmanship ancient swords etc medieval knife fighting etc...they train very slow and fluid...FLOW IS FAST...FOR THE BRAIN ITS SAME THING. TRAIN VERY SLOW FLUID NO AGRESSIVITY AND IT MAKES THE BEST FIGHTERS... THIS METHOD HAVE BE PROOVEN IN COMBAT, SPANIARDS WITH SWRD AND KNIVES STYLE CONQUERED PARTS OF THE WRLD IN BATTLES ETC.... the fast raw techniques are made to learn fast for sldiers who wil go to battlefield and wont last 15 min anyway....a russina instructor told me this. a paratrooper goes to afganistan toops have a life span of 15 min at frist engagement for special forces and professionals? they train systema, kali ancient arts everyday and slow...

Too many experts here dismissing the man's technique but can't offer any video of themselves dong anything. How can one expert to see someone running when one hasn't even learned how to walk? These are just drills basic one but from there one learns how to evade and how disarm. To say it's real life etc? How can one know? In real life nothing is similar if one disagrees then shoe the, a drill that's real life and how to defend from such things.

compliant students that do bad attacks on purpose is BULLSHIT
@TheDeshi100
@TheDeshi100 8 жыл бұрын
+Tyler Lalonde I hope your not referring to compliant student or partner because if you teach basic with resisting partner you won't accomplish anything. Lousy or bad attacks are indeed bad for training what is needed is near realistic attack but still a complaint partner. I'll be interested to see your video you to demonstrate what you are you saying here

+Tanto jutsu It's called drilling. You have to get the technique down before you can go full speed. You also don't want to injury all of your training partners and students or you won't have any.
@Tyler_Lalonde-
@Tyler_Lalonde- 8 жыл бұрын
+Combat Self Defense Academy o would agree but they still need to train the basics as realistic as possible. so a compliant student that does bad attacks on purpose is not good training.
@combatselfdefenseacademy6072
@combatselfdefenseacademy6072 8 жыл бұрын
They do do it realistic, but you have to start slow. You can't start a brand new student off at full speed unless you want to get hurt.
@Tyler_Lalonde-

Combat Self Defense Academy I'm not talking about speed. I knew you go slow for a demo. I give a detailed reason.
@Tyler_Lalonde-
@Tyler_Lalonde- 8 жыл бұрын
Combat Self Defense Academy first the angles are taken from the long weapon. Which for most is fine but the ones where he stabs the knee is a very bad idea. I like the evading the pakkal thrust. Of course is rare for that attack to happen from a distance. Which makes evading possible. But when he shows the inside grapple the attack is wide and aimed far to the side making it very awkward. Not to mention the power that comes from it. You won't be able to follow the force. The force will smash through your grab. If your in close you have you stop that arm which he is against sadly. Try stabbing like that where it's almost horizontal then try it like a #1 you will feel it. The pakkal thrust to the flank is very very awkward. Just because the attacks work with a long weapon out the front. Does not make them good for the knife. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqaQopKtm9Fop7cm23s does that look like a real attack just done slow I say no. It's the no intent to represent even a little bit of reality. Since it doesn't care about real intent then anything and everything no matter how good or bad it is will work. But the disarms are done way to easy they will never be that easy. You will have to do damage first. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqaQopKtm9Fop7cm05s why would anyone attack your knees? Putting themselves in a vulnerable spot just to attack the knees. I get people do low line thrusts to the gut but this is just stupid. Like really kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqaQopKtm9Fop7cm16s. These are all bullshit.
