What is Plants vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville?
Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is a third-person shooter developed by PopCap Games and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is a spin-off of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and was released as an early access title in September 2019 before its full release in October the same year. The game received generally positive reviews upon release.
Similar to its predecessors, the game is a third-person shooter where players take control of the Plants or the Zombies in either a cooperative or competitive multiplayer environment. The game features 20 customizable gameplay classes, six of which are new to the franchise, with more on the way. They are classified into three groups: attackers, defenders, or supporters. Each team also has a new team play class that allows players of the same class to combine forms when they fight against enemies. As a Deadbeard main, I feel like he has it easy when it comes to sniping. The plants have dummy thick heads, so it's easy to quickly snipe them out of existence, while Cactus doesn't get that luxury.

We'll there both good sniper's but it's more about how consistent your accuracy. I won't say one's better than the other it's really up to the player but as both mains it's really hard to tell thay both have their way.

Another advantage deadbeard has is that his attacking weapon is in his hand, instead of his head, like cactus. He has an easier time hiding behind corners to snipe, while Cactus has to bring her whole head out leaving her vulnerable to being seen/attacked.

@@AngryAvocadoo As a catus main, not so much vulnerable as they're taking a risk too not to be surprised on, I mean you could always surprise with the petal propeller or leave some mines down in places they're bound to step if that one enemy insists on killing you. And with her submachine gun for a mouth she can burst fire from medium distances. It has always worked for me

Potato Mines alone are enough for me to obtain the preferrence to cactus. You can place 4 at same time, and well placed mines (AI spawn points, corners, under the vegetation) can greatly affect the offence of zombies, especially in Peachy District. (Often enemies failed to capture single objective if I and one or two was playing cactus.) Also the Bon Voyage upgrade gives you an extra temporary that you can escape when in CQB situation, while sometimes get a kill with the extra mine.

Cactus has calibrated + looting which makes him deal over 200 dps with his secondary after 3 kills with it and you get ammo back for each critical vanquish

Cactus Handsdown has one of the best upgrades in the game. Alectrity can pretty much deal double the damage the Anchor upgrade can and Popcorn is literally the best anti-teaming upgrade ever. Randomly killing people trying to revive their teammates is the most satisfying thing ever. Especially when it kills two people at once. Happened to me like three times already it was the best. Also in terms of drones. You just shouldn't use them unless you're near death and hiding to regen health. They do nothing but hinder you if you have good aim. I can drop 40-50 bombs with Cactus in Turf and only 30-40 with Deadbeard. They're both great but Cactus just feels much better for me.

Here’s my take on it Dead beard has the meme anchor which has the special secret effect of making someone go to reflect in a temple for 10 years because of the embarrassment they just had layed onto them, they also have options for changing their playstyle with speed anchors, quick scopes, and speed barrels which can all be accessed through different builds Cactus has calibrated and looting So it really isn’t a competition cactus wins easily

Zach Attack because it knocks your enemies back, it kind of stops them from shooting you and that leaves you vulnerable only when reloading. I find that with long barrel, you can actually turn deadbeard into a more viable close-quarters attacker. However he still gets bodied if teamed up on

Deadbeard to me is both a "sit in the back" character and a close range character,as deadbeard you can use your ancor to not only catch up to people a but also do have a chance to damaging them,if you are a person who likes to sit in the back than i suggest this upgrade to you,I don't know what the name of the upgrade is but here is what it does this upgrade allows deadbeard's shot gun to knock enemies back this can be useful when you get attacked while sniping if it is a chomper you can simply just shoot them and they will be knocked back you can use this upgrade to push people in corners or knock them off the edge

Ur right dead beard has those great qualities of being offensive on defensive. Cactus however, is a sit in the back character with a quick get away ability. She's not offensive but her submachine gun is kinda nifty, especially burst firing all your shots into someone's head

and that one ability where he knocks you away is god awful annoying its like it was made to get the whole plant team to be pissed at you .holy crap sometimes it even knocks me out of flight mode with the propeller and I'm forced to fight so I have a secret way of dealing with. once it knocks you back immediately start firing back and gain distance. This will force them to back up or snipe and what u want them to do is snipe. So after all that IMMEDIATELY RUN AWAY AND HIDE IN A CORNER NO ONE CAN SEE YOU SORROUND IN POTATO MINES A FEW FEET AWAY AND GARLIC DRONE THAT BIT......

I main both of these characters, but it’s really hard to judge who’s better personally, Deadbeard has a native advantage of plants having huge heads and generally bigger hitboxes, and his drone’s airstrike is slightly better, but Cactus’s Potato Mines are more useful than the Barrel Blast, the main difference I find is abilities, in that Cactus has Calibrated and Deadbeard doesn’t have an equivalent, plus Cactus’ Spike Strike can be good at finishing off enemies that can escape before you can charge enough since it has a good fire rate, and due to me playing them as far as I can, I don’t get any use out of the Scurvy Scattershot compared to the Spike Strike, so personally I’d say Cactus is better, but just slightly, since the only ability I really use with them are Petal Propeller/Anchors Away, and I mainly use their scopes, but Cactus does have Calibrated which gives her the extra edge in my opinion

I love playing with cactus because papapums do quite a few kills but captain deadbeard is the best, plants are usually the ones with the least health and biggest heads making them easy to defeat with oneShot.

Imo cactus is the one that newer players would be suited to because of the spuds and deadbeard would be better for more skilled players because of things like the right hand adv or better hit box and drone Edit: Since this botty bot bot post I made 7 months ago I have become an epic poggy woggy player and have come to the conclusion that cactus does indeed have (redacted) which means that you can literally kill an afterburner assimilation space station coming straight for you with enough practice, so now that I have learned of the skill ceiling cactus has I can no longer give credit to dead beard, although I can say that dead beards special stuff which can be used with upgrades is easier to utilise so there you get that one deadbeard

I hate it when people say that petal propeller sucks, whenever they use it their not even using the fuel it gives you! Petal propeller basically makes youre self a drone, using the left ability uses fuel to go down while the right uses fuel to go up! When using your fuel but not moving forward it gives you double fuel making you go extremely high! But people call this an inconsistent ability when its actually really good but they don't know how to do it!

I think Deadbeard is much better than cactus both drone get quickly destroy the moment it make the missile ability noise. but the Parrot get the great advantage it only needs to launch one projectile to make a ton of dmg. meanwhile the other is interpreted, and you need to hit all projectiles to make decent damage mines are pasive defence, it depend so much the enemies dont see them, barrel is way more useful and aggressive. also the team they are is a big deal, since most zombies still can deal with a long range target better than most plants

That's not true, deadbeard have 20 ammo, but his charged shots use 4 ammo while cactus have 40 ammo, but her charged shots take 8 ammo. Therefore, both deadbeard and cactus can do 5 charged shots in 1 clip.

Tbh I think zombie has always been the better team in all the PvZ shooters. In gw1 the plants were quite boring to play as and super commando just dominates that game. In gw2 is where the zombies are sort of balanced but still op however not gw1 zombie team op. In bfn since the plants have big heads it’s easy to shoot them at even at a distance and most zombies are thin.

I think I know why you thought that: I think both of their fully charged shots do 98.5 damage, which they round up to 99 on your screen. This means if you get a 100 health character they have 1.5 health, which they round up to 2 for you
