A great idea that I will add. My sons a plumber so out the side of the house is heaps of pipe. I've cooked for 6 on it big roast beef and veg but I have a large flange which fits pefect and give it a big height for a double rack oven. I also cooked dessert ( all sorts of different crumbles and baked cheesecakes) while we were cutting up and eating dinner. Pizzas are great even without the stone by the way.

Catering for 6 😮 that’s very impressive. Spare pipe lying around is a very inexpensive way to sort this out. Hope it all works out for you. Andy.

Fantastic. Thanks a lot. Just the video we wanted to get a proper idea of which of these in the range is going to suit us as a couple. So many videos of the massive one and cooking for the whole site. All we want is a breakfast for 2, some steaks for dinner a brew if we don't want to use the coffee maker. Really good video. like the leg hack as well, that's a fiver well spent. Will have to see what Ally thinks and that might just be on her next shopping list. Take it easy and stay safe. Alan

Thanks for watching Alan and glad it's helped a bit with your choice. I cooked steaks and flat mushrooms on the flat plate yesterday, they came out really good, they colour up nice on the grill plate too. Cheers and all the best Andy.

Looking for adapter to convert gas from hp to lp and use small bottles to screw direct to cadac. Have you seen one? Thanks
@tanksontour7 ай бұрын
Yes, the Cadac power pak does this, it takes the disposable canisters and has a built in regulator. Otherwise try this link here for ideas what to look for. Thanks for watching. Andy and Kim. www.cadacinternational.com/adapter-set-hp-to-lp/

the drainpipe hack looks good.. but it would have been nice to see it in actual use.. I bet it wobbles all over the place !
@tanksontourАй бұрын
Hi, it is good and no, it doesn’t wobble. I have seen other remixes on various caravan/van forums on fb with leg upgrades. The only downfall I have of this is if any food falls from the grill, it’s straight on the ground rather than a table top. If you have this grill give this a go, it’s relatively inexpensive to do, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I’ll see if I can do an updated vlog using the legs. Thanks for watching and the comment. Andy and Kim.

@@tanksontour Hi Andy. Looking at the video again I can see now that you have put a slot in the top of the tube which engages with the body of the Cadac thus locating it to avoid rotation and wobble etc.. well done! It would be great to see a video of it being assembled and actually being used. Also it would be good if you could attach a dimensioned sketch of the pipe (guessing its standard 65mm diameter rainwater pipe) with overall cutting sizes, slot size and lower slash angle etc?

@@hayabusabart I’m struggling with internet at the moment, we’re currently away. I’ll describe more of what you’re seeing, it may not be 100% clear by what you’re saying. We’re back home tomorrow (today is 30th November 2024) and I’ll trust my internet more when we get back. Is your name BART btw? Cheers. Andy.
@tanksontourАй бұрын
Okay, back home now. Here's a link for the pipe I used here - www.screwfix.com/p/floplast-downpipe-68mm-x-2-5m-black/25256 - not an affiliated link as in the description. This is cut into 3 equal parts, make the first cut at an angle (of your choice really), I'd guess at around 10-20 degrees, this first cut is the bottom of two legs. The next cut would be a 'square' cut which will be the top of the second leg. With the remaining piece just reproduce the same angled 1st cut. You could make the cut more acute so when used on grass, the pip could be 'stabbed' into the ground if required. Each leg will be approximately 800mm long. There is no other cutting to do as the pipe fits over the CADAC leg and into the side clearance grooves to the sides of the CADAC leg. I hope this clears up everything, but if you have any more questions, please ask away. Cheers. Andy.
