I absolutely LOVE Cadbury’s heart warming advert’s. i.e “You don’t have to throw that one back Mr Thompson” The lad on the bus sharing with the young girl who’s upset. But by far, my absolute favourite is the little girl getting a bar of chocolate for her Mum’s birthday. It reminds me so much of my Dad when he used to have a gift shop, and the kid’s all loved him🤗❤ I just hope that Cadbury don’t change their existing advertising company

I like how time progresses throughout the advert. Mum goes into a Phone Box. But ends up using her Mobile Phone. The first Chocolate bar we see is not the same as the one the girl leaves with. The girls hair style changed 3 times. As does her jacket. The shop all changes too.

Received a Cadbury Easter Egg from my wife - much appreciated. I noted that it was made ‘under licence’ - so not by Cadbury direct, and it contains ‘the equivalent of’ a glass and a half of full cream milk, not actually full cream milk any more. Probably powdered milk, to avoid dealing with another liquid in the factory. So the marketeers are keeping the glass and a half strap line alive, yet no liquid milk is in the chocolate any more. Sad.

It is not the same as it was years ago, since it was purchased by another manufacturer, the quality has slipped the bars are smaller, the contents have changed in quantity, it is not price for me , it is the value by weight for what it is sold for, and Cadbury was a standard that we looked up to , not any more it has become just another chocolate name on the shop shelves, with the way , the cost of living is going up why change it when it was not broken, the price has gone up and the contents are smaller, I see no reason not to state the weight in once’s as well as grams, and just like the price of cigarettes, if you are a Fruit and Nut Case, you pay for your craving but unfortunately the fruit is less in the bars that I have purchased this Christmas and it seems a lot less Creamy or is it my imagination ,trying add more verity to the name , just makes it seem a desperate company that as lost its way, we are English and don’t like our standards changed, just for market sails, the more verity I see the less I buy , a new line on trial is one thing , but forcing it to be a choice is a different story. All together.

@cadbury I get that prices across the board have gone up since brexit. And I would not have have an issue with you increasing the price of your product. After all Cadbury is the best in the world. But to up the price while simultaneously reducing the weight of your products I find underhanded and treating your customers with contempt. I have just realised that the advert subtly shows changing scenes throughout the 200 years, so first there is an early phone booth that preceded the traditional red boxes, and when she comes out of the shop, that one has gone too and Mum has a mobile phone. I love this advert and its depiction of kindness. In an era when so many ads are loud and empty, I turn them off before they blare out their closing jingles. It is not often these days that I am lifted by an advert, but I am by this one. When the girl looks for the last time at her cherished unicorn, it tells such a story. No wonder it makes people cry.

Lovely advert but is it not a slap in the face to all the tens of thousands of workers over the last 200 years based in Bournville Birmingham, the home of cadburys, to base this advert in a northern town with northern accents. Is the beautiful Bournville green with is pretty row of shops not good enough?
