That is amazing. Imagine knowing this stuff inside-out. I am trying to design something myself that just isn't sold in shops and this is the only reason I got started looking into AutoCAD. Sometimes when a part doesn't exist you just have to make it yourself, or have it made, but what do the people making the part need? An AutoCAD file. Either way this needs learning! It is an awesome thing to know how to do this stuff.

There's an error in your model. The center vertical part doesn't meet the cylinders correctly. When you zoomed in there was a flat (8:34)where it meets at the top of both cylinders, it shouldn't be there, they should mesh together. That vertical part should have cylindrical ends that meet flush with the other cylinders.
@abdallababikir9154 Жыл бұрын
exactly...
@TheRealGr33nGuy11 ай бұрын
That's not an error. If the edges of the middle block met the edges of the circles then the top surface of the middle block would be curved, and that's not specified.

I'll recommend your tutorial for my class so they get to see another way to approach 3D drawing. I usually use the ViewCube and a non-wireframe view selected from the Visual Styles Control to change the appearance of the object and origin. Years ago my students decided that the "Cool Kids" should draw tangents to the circle by typing TAN as the line was drawn rather than turning off interfering snap settings.

That's not how the object is supposed to be though, is it? That piece you made at 6:20 is supposed to be rounded to fit the curvature of the cylinders, not join straight to it. But for whatever reason Autocad seems perfectly unable to handle simple displacement of a curved edge. Can't move vertices without the whole shape going haywire either. Is it because the math simply doesn't allow it? Like it cannot make a face that isn't strictly flat out of two curved lines like blender does with ngons?
