Bobby Shewan Blasphemous. Incredible Metroidvania with a really dark twist on religious art from the developer’s home country, Spain. Everything about it is amazing; atmosphere, gameplay mechanics (primarily the combat, being a game that forces you to learn to how to parry/riposte), the artwork and animation, everything. If you like Castlevania even in the slightest, you would love this game.

Indeed, there are also more people from the original snes trilogy involved in YL than the newer dkc games. You can also see it in the darker tone visual style in most of the levels just like the original DKC. I would go as far as saying that: "YL is more DKC than the new DKC games"
@salmonblox7 ай бұрын
Super old comment, but I noticed that, too. Things he said about control being slippery and losing abilities when you lose your different Kong buddies don’t really apply to the SNES era games. I enjoyed Yooka Laylee myself, quite a bit, but I have never felt more control over a 2D platforming character than I did with Diddy Kong on the SNES.

Awesome video as always Caddy, only one gripe, when you compare it with DKC you mention the new ones as the whole franchise when in reality the original trilogy (excluding 64 because of how different that game is) is way closer of what you described in the video, for example the mecanic of keep rolling only when hitting enemies, the momentum and precision of the movement and the similarities in the mecanics when losing one of the two caracters (7:47 in the video). Apart from that great video, I will be looking forward on buying this game and try it myself :)
