Caddis Celebration famous fly Fisher and entomologist Rick Hafley reveals the lifecycle of caddis

This May, Jack Dennis celebrates our wonderful insect caddisflies with entomology fly tying and techniques to help you become a better fly fisherman. You'll see all about caddis in the eyes of master caddis man, the late Gary Lafontaine, Mike Lawson, Kelly Galloup, Scott Sanchez, and a host of other well-known fly fishermen as we dedicate May to the caddis. May is the start of many caddises fly hatches throughout North America, with one of the most famous hatches occurring this weekend, Mother's Day. Was this video part of a series? Where was it filmed (its pretty old, so i doubt you'd be giving anything away)? Interesting technique with the pupa. Leisenring lift?

Thank you very much for your comment. The complete video was produced by 3M in the mid-80s it's called anatomy of a trout stream and was filmed in 35mm. You can find it on our channel that you watched this little segment on caddis. We produced the celebration of caddis last year in May it was so popular that I'm rerunning it again.
