Cade has that clutch gene. The game winner against the shockers was insane. He also did amazing against Oral Roberts in the last few minute. He can easily take over a game. Hope he plays at the same level against better competition!

I remember another kid, about the same size, was hyped big time, had handles and hops and did similar things at the lower level, was the #1 overall pick (2014) But when he stepped up to elite level competition he just blended in and his game didn't necessarily translate to dominate star level. Although he's good and can be special on certain nights, inconsistency has plagued his career. That player is Andrew Wiggins, not saying at all Cade will be like that but all the hype surrounding him reminded me of Wiggins.

@@eastonpittman1042 I like Cade and would probably take him #1 but there’s nothing to indicate he’ll be the defender or initiator Simmons is. He’s also 2-3 inches smaller so he doesn’t present as big of a matchup problem with most other guards. His penetration and ability to drive to the basket is definitely near Simmons level and shot is a considerable improvement the rest he needs considerable improvement with to be considered in the same category.

I like his jumper. His duck is crisp. I just wonder why he isn't playing the wing with that size, strength, and scoring ability. He doesn't seem to be much of a play maker and his handle looks like easy cookies for smaller laterally quick guards at the NBA level. Sure you get that Lebron or Ben Simmons type of size mismatch, but his passing ability isn't nearly the same.

Not really. He’s much more explosive and a better shot creator. I think he’s going to be better than Booker, Booker can shoot from anywhere on the court. That’s his job, no knock on him but he’s a straight shooting guard. Nothing else. Cade is a PG, SG, and small forward all in one. He’s going to be a monster.

@@h.j.d.9645I respectfully disagree, Booker can do more than what he does, there's nothing wrong with his handles he handles it quite well and can do what needs to be done no matter if it's shooting 3's, playmaking or assists. But with CP3 now on the team and in firm control of the offense Booker is playing a more traditional 2 guard's role. CP3's leadership and experience has them in the 2nd seed in the tough West with basically the same team that missed the playoffs last yr.

Even if they don’t edwards is strictly just a shooting guard, he has a terrible assist to turnover ratio and he’s not the guy you want bringing the ball up the floor. However Cade is quick enough to play point but he has the size of someone who can play forward. There’s no way Minnesota doesn’t draft him
