I do really enjoy these "fun, feel good" gift openings.....and showing. My family had a tradition of buying a live tree for Christmas, then planting it outside in the yard. You can put the live tree in a big terracotta pot while it is inside. Eventually we were full but the chateau has plenty of room to keep some memories!

I had to chuckle at Diesel snoring. My old pupper died last year and it was so endearing to me to listen to his soft sometimes loud snoring. I always found it comforting. Wow! Lots of great gifts and love the handmade items. Stephanie I have been meaning to mention I love your hair color and style. The “honey” color is perfect on you and I love how your hair frames your face. Diesel is adorable as usual and you all look so cozy with the fire in the fireplace. I was laughing when you broke out the marshmallows. Every August my family camps with dear friends and each night we roast marshmallows and make “s’mores.” (I don’t know if you have heard of them or even make them in France). I like mine burned but my husband likes his toasted. When your marshmallow is done you take a graham cracker, put a piece of chocolate on it, put the marshmallow on, and then top it off with another graham cracker. They are sooooo good! Thanks for sharing another great video!

I did the very same thing and used blue + white chinoiserie napkins too. I was very pleased with my project. And use gold leaf on the stems. It is a very easy to do. And since I decorate my home with the blue + white chinoiserie style they really look great.

My sister and I were talking about how different Christmas celebrations would be this year. We are only allowed to gather in groups of 5 people maximum at present so our usual family gathering is impossible. The wax wraps are very popular in Australia. I purchased my first set in Melbourne about 5 years ago. After that initial purchase I made my own. They are very easy to make. You cut a piece of 100% cotton. Lay it on the ironing board over the top of a bigger piece of baking paper. Get a grater and grate some beeswax from a block of beeswax or you can use beeswax pellets. Sprinkle a little bit on the cloth. Then place another piece of baking paper on top of this. So you have a sandwich effect with the cotton and beeswax as the filing. Get a hot iron and just start ironing a patch at a time. The iron melts the wax into the cloth. Make sure you do a little bit at a time or you can have melted beeswax going everywhere! Lift the paper off and sprinkle some more beeswax on the next section, put the paper back on, iron and repeat the process. I use ours for wrapping blocks of cheese as well as my sandwiches. I also have put elastic on the outside of other ones that I have cut in a round shape so they can go over a bowl. You just clean them with a little bit of soap and clean water brushing with a piece of soft cloth. When the beeswax wears off over time, you can just redo them. Don't worry if they are stiff to start off with, they get softer the more you use them. There are plenty of how to clips on youtube if this doesn't make sense. Blessings to you all and cannot wait to start the advent adventure with the crew (just realised that advent fits perfectly into adventure).

It's a sweet story; said royal bridal myrtle was always sourced from a plant grown at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight (planted by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria.) The tradition of using that particular plant started w/ one of their daughters and continued through the years. The current Queen took a cutting when she married and used a bit to plant another. When the Duchess of Cambridge married Prince William she incorporated myrtle from BOTH plantings. 🤍🤍🤍
