The parameters for the rectangle command are a) location of first corner b) size of rectangle (not location of second corner); which automatically makes it a relative coordinate. the only workaround is to draw a line using your absolute coordinates then draw a rectangle using the endpoint osnaps and then erase the line

type 'toolbar' in the command line, that will launch the toolbar dialog which allows you to select which toolbars you want to display.

Thanks for these they are a lifesaver! i am annotating a drawring ising the mtext fuction in layout 1 and halfway through and i cant select the text anymore and when i move my drawring the text no longer moves with the drawing, the same thing happens when i zoom, any ideas how i can stop that happening? hope that makes sense!

Or you could enter the command rec, select you start point as prompted in the command bar, then type d (for dimensions) and enter the size that you want the rectangle or square. A lot quicker doing it that way than any other.

Hmm.. I have AutoCad Architectur 2008, but its programm is different than this. I can't select AotuCad Classic. i only can choose Design, Document, Detailing and Visualization! :(
