Andreas Liljegren thanks. Just tried something to capture the essence of river fishing during this exceptional hot period with low water.

Timely video for me! Have a question for Paul and James...looking at your 15ft match rod for stick float fishing on deep, slow rivers for mostly roach but the odd bonus bream. So would you recommend #1 or #2? For info, I still have my trusty Daiwa 13ft amorphous whisker match for shallower venues and even my 12ft Shakespeare President match if I need it!

Steve Brookes, slow rivers, Roach and Dace, definitely the 15’ match #1 I’ve also had plenty of Chub using mine and it handles them without any problem at all👍

Cheers Paul, I was leaning towards the #1, it's nice to have a second opinion to confirm my thoughts. Keep up the good work :)

Lovely rod, ordered an 11 ft #1 float rod, should be delivered Monday 13th. Already have 13 ft Cadence #1 and am so pleased with it that I'm replacing all of my rods and reels to Cadence tackle. What is the music in the video, its very soothing.

E Miff you’re going to love the 11’ match #1 I’ve been testing and using it for silvers for a year now both on the rivers for Dace at short range and especially in the silvers winter league I fish at woodlands 👍

Leigh Winspear we like to try something 'different' every now and then LEIGH, just to guage reaction. My view is that anglers seem to prefer to watch/listen to the likes of James et al rather than spend time reading. I think it could be a reflection of the modern world🤔

Blimey. Not sure what you mean by that. I was just jokingly complimenting the videographers obsession with close ups...especially hand close ups....... As for the comment regarding reading? reading what? On reflection...

Leigh Winspear sorry no offense intended ....it's always interesting to find out where and what viewers pick up on.... feedback helps us to tailor future videos. As cameraman/editor I have to try and produce a video which more or less everyone can enjoy, so I am keen to hear all feedback. I'd love those few who thumbs down videos to say what they find objectionable too. Thankfully there haven't been too many.

Leigh Winspear we are keen to know if written blogs are worth the effort, do they get read or are long form videos preferable?

Followed the link and read your report on the Cadence site. Some great detail there.... My question though is regarding hemp and which hemp do you use? Also, how do you prepare it? I've prepared hemp recently, following my usual, 30 year old recipe and a lot of it now floats, even after pre soaking and boiling afterwards. Hemp aint what it used to be, thats for sure.... Maybe you could do a video tutorial on this?

Leigh Winspear interesting reaction to the video...not what I anticipated but valid all the same, I am sure Paul will find time to respond to you and your hemp problems. I do seem to recall him just using stuff from a tin, but not sure...over to you Paul🤔

Hi Lee, I never use hemp from a can (cost reason) and you rightly say the hemp isn’t what it used to be, I buy mine in bulk bags and have just ordered another bag from a different supplier after a recommendation! I prepare mine by soaking for a couple of days then just simply putting into a very large stainless steel flask and again left for a couple of days (just don’t over fill or you’ll blow the top off after it expands) it always comes out perfectly for my requirements. Just a note, in the heat we’ve just been having this summer I found that by leaving in the hemp in a bucket in the greenhouse it was split and ready to use after 4 days so there’s food for thought! Paul
