That was a great little drive. The bear encounter was a bonus. I know that my daughter and grandson have seen a number of bears now that they’ve been down there for the past week. Even behind the resort, which fortunately has a fence between them and the bears! But she got some good pictures and videos anyway.

The Cove is so beautiful, and your footage of the bear was unbelievable. It was nice to see that people that were there kept their distance and didn’t harass the bear. Whenever we’ve seen bears in the cove it was from a distance and we weren’t able to get a clear picture.

CC is so pretty but don't think there's a time to go and beat the crowds. And the idiots who park their car and walk off to whatever and you can't get around it ruin it. The crowds and the traffic jams ruin it. Wish more rangers were out giving tickets and that the fines were high. Until the fines are crazy high and it hurts their pocketbook and ruins their vacation it will continue. But love your videos and was happy you saw a bear. Thanks for sharing.

The past few years it's been getting way to crowded in Cades Cove. Many times we were stuck in traffic for hours, sometimes we had to take the back road to Townsend just to get out of the mess. We decided not to go through there again. Something needs to be done about it.

Lasy year was our first time and we were not familiar with Cades Cove and everyone told us to go on our last day. We are going to go this year. We were in Yellowstone 3 years ago and its the same way, you can tell when there is any type of animal because traffic backs up. That is rude of people to just stop and park their cars in the middle of the road ughhhh. Enjou your day. Thanks for another great video 😊😊

I've been going to Cades Cove for over 30+ years and the best tip I can give to seeing wildlife there is... Drive slow (I mean, let people pass you slow), take advantage of pull outs (pull over and look around), look in the trees (because bears will be up in them), also take advantage of the 2 cross roads (A lot of times you'll see wildlife there)...

It is a sorry person that feeds a bear, causing that bear to have to be euthanized😢😠 Just how selfish and inhumane people can be, and they endanger children by getting out of their cars and running toward that bear, just for that photo op.....Cades Cove is not a zoo🦌🐻 That was a cutie bear🐻 I have never gotten ice cream from there, but thanks for sharing yours🐾🦊🐺

I still think its so wrong for a bear to be killed because of people. Put it in a zoo! People are always going to screw up and wildlife should not pay for that. It makes me so angry! And so so sad. I think wildlife officers should adopt some new rules.

Normally the jams are for bears. I have been to cades cove thousands of times and have never seen a car jam over a deer it’s always a bear. Usually when there are jams and your behind in line you won’t get to see the bear because it’s already gone off into the woods because people won’t just take a look and go on they stop and get out of the car holding up everyone in the backs of the lines from seeing the bear.

A few years back my mother and I went to see her sister in Georgia. On the way back we made a side trip to the Smokey Mountains. While traveling along Cades Cove traffic backed up for a half hour or so. Excited that we would be in a bear jam, eventually we learned that we were in a deer jam. Thankfully, the traffic backed up again and we were in a bear jam. All we saw was a few black lines off in the distance moving across the field. A mother and and her cubs.

There’s ice cream, frozen custard and soft serve. You got soft serve not ice cream. 🍦🍨 Ice cream is the hard stuff scooped out of a tub. Soft serve is pumped out of a machine. Frozen custard flows out of a machine into a tub then is scooped into a cone or dish. Ingredients not withstanding. Culver’s = frozen custard Dairy Queen = soft serve Baskin Robbins = ice cream Either way this Wisconsin boy loves the Smokies. Planning another trip again.

Another great video. We've did the loop a few times in a car, never actually got to see a bear during those drives. For me personally, the best way to make experience the loop is the day when it's closed to cars. I walked it, it is a good walk though. That's when I actually saw a mama bear and her two cubs. So to people that want to do it but don't like traffic, if you are either in decent shape to walk 5 miles or so or better if you have bicycles, do it then. It's a much better experience though really the couple times I've done it by car, it wasn't real bad. I've never stopped in the store though.

This was last Tuesday? I had to be just a few cars in front or behind you. There was a red truck and white car kind of off the road and the ranger on the bike was talking to them as we finally moved by. Eventually saw a deer and a bear cub way out towards the end of the loop.

Beautiful day, fantastic video of a bear, and soft serve ice cream, couldn't ask for anything better.
