Cadet Chapel Renovation Update - September 2020

The AFA chapel is Colorado's most iconic structure. My students and I toured the chapel twice. The first time, everything was just fine. The second time, water had leaked through the roof into the pipe organ, which is a fabulous musical instrument. The root cause of the structure's failure was financial compromise that resulted in inadequacies to seal the outside of the chapel windows. In other words, our nation couldn't cough up the cash to make the structure was sound. $158M seems like a lot of cash, but it might not be enough cash, and I hope that President Biden will make sure this amazing building will return to its original glory.
