It's in Tau codex 4'th edition - the paragraph about Vespid. There is mention of mind control. It's true that Imeprium attacked first - because Tau started trading with Imperial worlds and sharing their "Grater Good" idea. But they are now in peace, and the last tiem I checked Tau attacked the last three times.

They are different. Because of their betrayal some time ago they decided to repaid their debt to the Emperor by drowning the enemy in their bodies, dead or alive. Krieg are guys who charge over open field toward enemy fortifications, for them cover is unknown word. On the other hand they have one of the best artillery units in the entire Imperium, including super heavy siege tanks. Even as badass as they are Cadians are still regarded as finest solders in the Imperium (Guard codex 5'th edition)

Firstly, the Emperor's corpse isn't "rotten", his body is. It is his soul and trough sheer force of will that he manages to stay alive and guide humanity, one day at a time. Secondly, I did already mention where Space Marines are drawn from and btw, doesn't that contradict a bit of what you're saying? I mean the finest of mortals turned into the pinnacle of human evolution trough training and trough the holy seed of the Primarchs. Space marines do what the Guard can't, wihout the other, we die.

A common plot device in 40k. Doesn't stop Radical Inquisitors from trying ;P The eldar don't seem to have issues with their D-cannons and only the use of chaos rites caused a Black Stone Fortress to become corrupted. Orks don't either seem to have too many issues with their warp tech. Not that the use of warp technology would be safe by any margin, but there are users of warp tech other than chaos and some are quite frequent. Basically every psyker is a warp weapon. Oh, and the Animus Speculum.

13'th Black Crusade. Chaos was able to make a landfall and take 3/4 of the planet surface. But Imperial navy destroyed their fleets and now they are stuck on Cadia while Imperium sent reinforcements to take them out. Without fleet support and fresh troops Chaos troops on Cadia are as good as dead.
