Cadillac Car Door Logo Lights Installation

Review and installation of some Cadillac LED logo projection welcome lights (amzn.to/4du0Q20). These custom Cadillac emblem LED lights are easy to install, and require only a flat head screwdriver for removing the original OEM puddle lamp assembly. In this video we replace the original puddle lamp assembly to the logo lights on a Cadillac XTS4 Platinum.

These custom LED logo light assemblies are easy to install being a direct replacement with a plug-and-play connection. They require no vehicle modification for fitting or installation, and can be just as easily switched back to the original lights. The LED logo light will show the projection on the ground when the door is open and closed, turning off automatically once the door is shut. SRX: 2010-2017
XTS: 2009-2016

🔵 Installation Instructions:
1. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry and remove, then disconnect the original light assembly.
2. Plug in the replacement logo light assembly by matching the connector and plug sides.
3. Put the new assembly with original trim piece back into the car door until it pops into place.
4. Test the light by opening and closing your vehicle door.
5. If not working, check connection is good with the connector and plug. If the logo is upside down, switch to the other projector assembly as one is for the right and one is for the left.
They recommend not leaving your door open longer than a few minutes, as the film used to project the logo light can be damaged from the increasing heat. If your film is damaged, you do have the ability to remove it allowing plain white illumination instead.

@@AliImran-kk3fr These are installed at the bottom of the door. I had to pry mine out with a flathead screwdriver with minimal force. Even if you scuff it up a little no one will ever see it unless they lay on the ground and open your door. Go for it!

I think the only thing to really worry about is not pulling the power cord out too far when removing the original light assembly. Otherwise it's pretty fail safe. Thanks for watching!

I wouldn't recommend it if your OEM light assembly is curved. The replacement assembly which is a flat design, may make contact with the door frame when the door is closed.

I have a 2007 cadilliac DTS and my puddle lights are a different size and ha e a clear plastic cover that holds it in so there’s nothing to attach it to what would be a good way to secure it

You could use a Dremel and fit it into the original housing. Just keep in mind these things don't last long, and really isn't worth it if not plug n play.

Have you tried aliexpress? I sometimes find hard to locate accessories on their site... The search function is not as intuitive as Amazon, but I will generally sort the results by the number of orders to filter out repetitive and irrelevant products as much as possible. I will say, if you're anything like me, be cautious shopping on this site, as you may find hours have gone by, and hundreds of dollars of accessories will be in your cart lol.

The thing is tho, if u go out to ur truck we don't have that light underneath the door panel so unless im just rtrded i don't see where they would go. when i bought my caddy 2nd hand it had these lights and i thought it was cool but they haven't came back on after the 1st week.. how do i make them come back on? did i push the wrong button to turn them off?

You may have turned off the interior light switch. It allows you to turn the inside lights, including the door lamps, on or off based on if the door is open or closed. should be the same switch you used to turn on the interior lights when you need them. The lights themselves don't have an on and off switch. Hope it helps!

If you have a 3 position interior light switch (On-Door-Off) it might be switched to off. I believe you need to be on door for it to work.

I could get it out with a hammer and pliers but that’s doesn’t make it right. Just as specific as a Chiltons. Same as a water pump, remove old one, install new one.
