General Motors is so disconnected from the average consumer. 99.9% of people could never afford this car. Here’s a thought GM, focus on improving the quality of all your products. Offer more visually appealing, quality cars at a reasonable price. I don’t need an electronics filled car that breaks down constantly and costs a fortune to repair. How about get rid of Buick and GMC, and focus on your two core brands. Build a convertible that’s stripped down, but quality. I just want a decently priced cruising convertible with a reliable engine, a drop top and a great stereo. Is that so much to ask?

I think this car is heading in the right direction...BUT...some thinking needs doing. The big picture is great, but if it's a $300/400k cars need to be really something and they need to connect internationally. So why this modern obsession with materials they are either re-used or invented from some weird abstract that buyers really couldn't care less about? The carpet, luxury cars have luxurious carpet, so go buy some. Lambswool (Mouton) over-rugs have never gone out of style, they absolutely stunning, maybe use shorter pile for the modern mentality(?) I'm told the convertible top is made from mushrooms or something derived from them? Why? How about a beautifully cut Mohair top that screams money? Those glasses, the local dollar-store perhaps? How about having Lalique or Baccarat design ad make some really superb glasses, maybe with the car's chassis or serial number etched into the base? Be international, come on now. This lady also talks about the sun-ray wood trim as though they thought it up? The sun-ray motif of course is a pure motif of Art Deco, theirs though is too busy? Go look at $400k cars and don't just be different for the sake of being different. Done, completed properly for an international clientele this car would be found parked in all the great places the well-heeled hang out, Palm Springs, Palm Beach, the Hamptons, London, Paris, the French Riviera. PLEASE - think harder.

Customer enters Caddie store. Salesperson dressed from DXL greets her. She says I would like to spec a so lay. Sales person says I have this green demo car you can have now. How much per month is your budget? Customer says I would like to order one that evokes my beach house in Nantucket. Sales person says if you want to order one it will take 18 months and pulls out his 3 ring binder. The first page says, ask the client questions about their lifestyle, where they shop, what excites them. Sales person asks if they use the Starbucks drive through cuz if you do, probably better to get a dark interior to hide the spills. Customer replies they don't really do the drive through. Sales person then asks where do you shop? She replies Zegna and Loro Piana. He says do you speak English? Customer exits the Caddie store.

Those rims look cheesey and cheap, like badly chromed plastic. Too busy. An unwritten law of designing anything: "Less is more. Keep it simple." What was going on in regards to the back of the seats? Again, too busy and totally out of context with the rest of the interior. I'm going to Cadillac HQ and apply to their design for the Sollei.
