Hi David! thank you for the videos! I have the the same color XT5! I've had the same issues but I got way more error messages, i.e. steering assist failure, parking brake service, etc. the vehicle even stalled whilst in the dealer as they were trying to figure out the issue. In the end they found out that the seals fitted on the electrical harness by the doors were too small that water and moisture gets in the electronics! My GM dealer was able to "fix" the issue in March of 2021, but unfortunately, the issue happened again just last Saturday! I've scheduled for a check up tomorrow...I've recorded a video of the error messages if you're interested in seeing it, i can send via email. Great content by the way!

I just started having this problem on my 2018 XT5. I bought the car used last November. The car is almost 4 years old so the battery being the problem sounds logical. The car has 23k miles on it. I think the car is still under bumper to bumper warranty. I can change the battery myself but I would rather not risk voiding the warranty. I will be sure to ask the dealer to check the battery and if it's under warranty. Thanks for this video!

Big thanks for this video. My wife fell in love with the XT5. Before I buy a vehicle. I like to do research on it, and I found your video. The thermostat and water pump failures are the only real problems I could find that concerned me. We found a 2017 XT5 and within the first three months the stable track came on and screaming fan thanks to your video I knew what to do. I replaced the thermostat and water pump because the pump had early failures also. I'm a retired mechanic so I repair my own vehicles the XT5 engine is easy to work on with plenty of room under the hood we have been driving the XT5 for 1.5 years with no other problems thanks again

I too followed your video and went and had my batter tested. Vehicle has about 105K on it, with potential original battery in it, which its life was nearing its end. Replaced the battery and have not had the Auto Start kick on and 'Service Stabilitrak / Brake Assist chime at me. Rear auto balance? levels out after I park and the car fires up likes its brand new! Thanks, David! I had the same issue, and it was fixed after I replaced the battery. It seems many Cadillac dealers didn't know this one. They just simply recommend fixing the stabiltrack.

I have the SRX. When I went overseas for a couple weeks and came back, the battery was too weak to start it and I had to use a jumper. All these alerts kept popping up for about the next hour of driving until the system brought the battery back up to full charge. I use that as evidence that a weak battery will cause these warnings.

Thank you so much for the info. I was having a similar problem, everything that you said it happened I like to choose valvoline for my services and they tell me that the battery life is not cheap, $370 for replacement free installation and problems are gone thank you so much happy holidays ❤❤

I had this same issue. After a while, the codes became more aggressive and ALL of my warning indicators came on. There were no codes that came up, but the lights were stuck on. The battery ended up being bad (first appearing fine, but cranking amps were low.) I replaced the battery, but the lights are still stuck on! Do you know how to do a reset other than unhooking the battery for a longer period of time?

I have a 2017 XT 5 base modal and a 2017 XT 5 platinum my auto stop won’t shut off when I stop anymore the dealer said when it’s hot outside it won’t shut off when I stop. Question: is that true or is it the battery?

For me It was a thermostat and then later I needed breaks I got the stabilitrack for the breaks and the break steering assist whenI needed a thermostat I have a 2019 xt5 Now I replaced front and back pads The wrench parking service light is now blinking

I bought a brand new 2021 xt5 in June 2021. I've had plans. At 6,000 miles it's in the dealer shop to be fixed. It started off bucking at a red light from being stopped. It hates hills an starts a stress in either engine or trans, I'm not sure . It throws all kinds of codes. Like stop, park brake on, stability lose, starting code drive with care. Just different codes it's scary. My brakes even with to the floor after sitting all day, an starting car. It scared me being it sat for many hours. I'm thinking of trading smh. 6,000 miles an in the shop smh sad

I cant trust our Dealership where I live as they always find extra work. I will try to replace battery at an autobody shop. Nothing but issues with my XT5 since I have purchased it new from Cadillac. I have already spent 6,000 for repairs at the dealership a few months out of warranty. Will never buy another XT5
