I am learning solidworks visualize these days. This video shows me that Visualize can produce high-quality results. Thank you for your kind and detailed explanation.

This guy knows how to teach, I've learned way more in 55 mins than 1 full semester with Professor Saldi.

thank you Sir for this webinar. I am new to learning Visualise. This is one of the first videos I watched on KZbin, and it took me straight onto what I wanted to know. I like that, a lot has been covered here; from "background knowledge of camera techniques" to the actually setting up of the camera shots, and the render settings. Great video. I also enjoyed watching the outcome of your effort (the clip at the end) and learning that after effects was used in post-production to add those cool texts and effects.

Hello, very good your video, congratulations. I would like to know what software you used to make the highlights of the pieces appearing the name of each item

Hello I would like to know that how did you do this car shining blow which is at 53:50 min. and also thank you for this webinar!
@CADimensions8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! That part was done with a little bit of After Effects trickery. I did it somewhat by hand but I've since discovered that Visualize will allow you to create mattes as well by rendering in what's called "clown" mode. It creates a multi-colored matte that is very helpful for post processing.

How did you do changing of colors?
@CADimensions7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Appearances are all drag and drop in Visualize. Simply open the appearance library and drag an appearance onto the geometry! You can see this process in several of our other videos on Visualize. The Running Start video is a good place to start. Things have changed slightly since 2016 but it’s still a good reference to get going. Thank you for your answer. I meant how did you do on last video in animation 53:44-53:46. I want to now how did you do all text with this effects and effect on wheel 53:58. You are very good in this! I didn't see anything like that!
@CADimensions7 жыл бұрын
Ah! Thank you! The text and tricks were all done in Adobe After Effects. The color changing one is a simple trick where I rendered each pass with each color and then I used masks to reveal which color video I wanted at what time. There are many video editing tools that will allow you to create masks but I use all Adobe products.
@PetroRatych7 жыл бұрын
Maybe it is good to do lesson how to do this effects in Adobe After Effects? And one more question. When I do something with 2 or more cameras. Do I need to do first 2 or more videos and after assembling in another program?
@CADimensions7 жыл бұрын
I’ve considered that actually! At some point I will likely do that! It’s a bit difficult to do because each scenario might involve a different approach in After Effects. But I do have a list of a handful of techniques that I think might be somewhat universal. I do think Adobe products are a great companion to Visualize content. That being said, they’re not the easiest products to learn. There is a massive amount of content out there on any Adobe product including After Effects. I can say this for sure because I’ve learned everything I know about After Effects from someone on KZbin! As far as the cameras go, I don’t believe there is a way to have the timeline drive which camera is active. I render out all of my clips and assemble them afterwards.

Great Video! Thanks for that perfect content! Is it possible to get the fly-by shot with constant speed in SOLIDWORKS Visualize?
@CADimensions7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I don’t believe it is possible to manually assign a speed to the camera along a complex path. However, by keeping an eye on the ribbon, you can adjust the tension and motion easing to ensure that the color is consistent throughout the path. Adding a second camera helps significantly with monitoring this.
@ingenair7 жыл бұрын
CADimensions, Inc. Thanks for your feedback. Of course, a second "free" camera is unavoidable. I've forwarded an enhancement request to solidworks to go sure somebody at development is aware of my need.

Is the animation made only with visualize?
@CADimensions7 жыл бұрын
Yes it is straight out of Visualize aside from the clips at the end (~53min). Those were the final clips that I ran through After Effects to add the callouts and a couple of the little highlighting effects. Some of those could have been done directly in Visualize. Thanks for watching!

Great video. I heard that in order to use SolidWorks Visualize Professional for video rendering I need expensive video cards. I have computer: i5-3570K, CPU@3.40 GHz RAM 8.00 GB . My current card is Nvidia Quadro 600. ( its actually old, I know that) Could you recommend the minimum budget video card that I can use to create the rendering movies that you show here? ( I need 1920 x 1080 resolution) What card do you use?
@CADimensions7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! Unfortunately, it’s hard to give a one-size-fits-all answer here as there are many variables. Visualize can take advantage of both your CPU as well as an NVIDIA card in Hybrid mode. It uses CUDA technology so looking at the number of CUDA cores would be beneficial. For reference, my laptop has a K3100M with a 2.8GHz i7. I don’t render videos too regularly but I’ll run clips over night when I do. Keep in mind that Visualize can take advantage of multiple GPU’s as well so running two or more cards in GPU only mode could be a way to go.

hi can i us SOLIDWORKS Visualize for architectural render hi can u make a tutorial on architectural render in in SOLIDWORKS Visualize pls reply
@CADimensions7 жыл бұрын
It absolutely would! Visualize has a great database of materials for architectural work and should be a great tool for exterior and interior rendering. I’m not sure that I have any great examples of that other than some of the Visualize sample images but what kind of work did you have in mind?
