You're forgetting the bit where Ares was actually furious with Cadmus, because the Ismenian Dragon was a son of Ares. But, even though Ares was against Cadmus marrying Harmonia, the God Of War danced with his daughter at her wedding. Pretty sure Ares was the one who took pity on Harmonia when Cadmus was turned into a snake, and Ares turned his daughter into a snake too. Fun fact: Ares' daughter, Harmonia, was the mother of Semele, who was the mother of Dionysus. Yep, Dionysus is both Ares' younger (half) brother, AND his great grandson 🤣 Semele was also Poseidon's great granddaughter, so Dionysus is both Poseidon's nephew AND great, great grandson 🤣 Cadmus was Poseidon's grandson. Zeus was also the father AND great, great grandfather of Dionysus 🤣

Thank you for this review of this insane family tree & thanks for explaining this to us about how Ares felt during his daughter’s engagement. Even though he was angry, he still won’t ruin this wonderful moment for his daughter. What a great dad.

@@kevin-2.1 No problem 😊 Oh yeah, Ares is a fantastic father (Apollo too). Ares (and Apollo) was fiercely protective of his kids (mortal and divine alike), and openly grieved their deaths (Apollo was the same with all his kids). Ares' love for Harmonia was stronger than his hatred for Cadmus, even though Cadmus killed Ares' dragon son.

You forgot the part when Cadmus was forced to serve under Ares as penance for killing the dragon (it was Ares' pet). After that he married Harmonia

This is not the same Thebes in Egypt, there are two thebes

The greek one is the real Thebes.Thee one from Egypt should be called Waset (that was the name it was known by ancient egyptians themselves). And yes Alexander wiped out the greek one. But it was not the same from Kadmus .The original one was destoyed during the war of the Epigoni (the sons of the heroes slayed in seven against Thebes)

Wrong actually the myth is known like this. After Europa left, no one volunteered to find the missing princess. Only Cadmus slowly started to follow his sister's steps in order to find her. Though he was afraid and he had no courage, Cadmus tried to find his sister until Athena appeared in front of him and she told him about courage and where does it come from.

And so the young Cadmus became a courageous leader who inspired the people. Europa discovered so many places that the continent was known as Europe. Again learn the story better. And Cadmus didn't have any lion skin on him

Zeus was originally known as Ba'al by the Canaanites. The Phoenicians, who were Canaanites, worshipped Zeus as Ba'al, The Canaanite God of Lightning, The King of The Elohims, and The Son of The Sea-God Dagon & The Goddess Shalash. It is the other way around.Egyptian Thebes (native name Waset) was renamed Thebes by Macedonian Greeks.
