CADWorx Plant Pro vs AutoCAD Plant 3D

I love how you can Orthogen plans and cut sections, elevations in Plant 3d. It's built in the software where CADworx is not. It's an additional software and comes with an additional cost.

I totally agree with you on that. The Ortho creation ability in P3D is far superior then the Viewbox and 2DRep in CADWorx.,

There is not only the orthogen, is all the autodesk's piping pack and i work with it for years. Now i have to use (unfotunately) the bentley autoplant an extremely inefficient piping software. But ...thats life

hi,, which one is better in performance, autocad plant 3D or cadworx plant, lets say they hace same size plant project

That is hard to say, but it just depends on whether or not if you need a database for your 3D models. If you don't then I would say CADWorx because you do not need to use a database. If you do need a database then it is toss up, since the software has to keep syncing to the database it will slow you down.

These companies are charging LUDACRIS prices for their softwares. Its laughable honestly. Completely shafting the individual and only catering to businesses will definitely hurt them in the long run.

Cadworx is for Rich oil refinery where nobody ask you how much is cost, autodesk is for Rich and every body else
