@@shanks2058 TheShy's Chinese skills are still subpar, although these days he does make an attempt to communicate in Putonghua. That said, there's not much incentive, as legally he's already a native user of a Chinese language, and Weibo Gaming is based in Beijing.

Any in-depth game plan and situation would've been discussed in scrims too Most Korean imports make do with minimal communication, that's why NA team's language barrier reasoning is seen as an excuse On a side note, Rush still kinda talks like Sneaky and Memeos lol

They went Full AD into sion/Alistar. Not only that they FNC had Jhin for their carry (not good at killing tanks). Literally unplayable

@@Darkyryus_ back in s8 early game comps were 90% of the time ad heavy and fnc tought they could just steam roll over the game. And jhin is and was the best early game ad pick even tho nowadays hes just giga grief after lane🎉

@@Jiiiji Jhin wasn't and has never been the best, or even a good, early game ADC for lane dominance, he was picked very rarely in worlds 2018 and every time as a weak side pick, just as he is now, because he remains useful without being fed thanks to W and R and can defend lane well with E vision and waveclear. That's also why they picked Braum that game: do nothing in laning phase bot, commit all resources on Urgot and Irelia and hope they snowball.

The worst part of this wasn't just that Fnatic went full AD. It's that they went full AD after they already saw Alistar and Sion picked by IG. This was entirely an ego draft and Fnatic got punished hard for it.

To be honest, ig without the shy, kt or eu could win worlds, top diff was 10x time bigger than mid or bot.

@@signaturrKT and iG was played before RNG's match against G2. RNG was on their golden road and expected to win worlds. IG also ended 2nd spot in the group with FNC so people slept on them

Fnc was at their peak at that time. Caps was considered the new faker, an improvement of baby faker. Rekkles has always bin internationally strong (not consistently insane though) and hylli had his professors degree. Broxah was doing plays here and there and was consistend otherwise. Dont reme,ber whgat was outstanding from bwipo at that time aside from repacing Soaz since he played carries between all the tanks.

This is the thing with EU teams, when they get rolling and get on a winning streak, they get way too confident of themselves and begin messing up things leading to a complete choke in the most important moments.

@@oreoyo5639 They still beat the record... And that NA team beat the world champs IG, and G2 beat SKT, so it's not like they got there without beating Asian teams (like fnc s1). But ya DWG smashed them, they were extra pissed cause G2 beat them last year... You could say "they took it personal"
