@@dm4226 In MF's case it's actually the BT nerf that hurt the most. She was the only champ next to Draven who 1st item BT every game so the first item spike is gone. That and her two best combo partners Rell & Lilia is nerfed as well. The -3AD also hurts her passive amp too so last hitting will be noticeably harder early. MF will not be appearing this Worlds.

Don't get me wrong, he is not right about everything, but he is right about a lot of stuff. Be it Liandries, Ivern or camera movement, the guy is often a few years ahead of what we see in pro play. So I find listening to his takles and his view of the game VERY interesting.

What is he basing himself on when talking about such niche picks? He says Rumble is counterpicked by Fiddlesticks top. Let's check top match-ups, oh, indeed Fiddle has a 100% winrate against Rumble in FIVE GAMES TOTAL (Diamond+, global). Amazing analysis, very relevant. Third, even putting aside the theoretical aspect, he just has completely random takes that go against every metric. Shen jungle ? 45% winrate. Lillia still Z? Caedrel just disproved that. His LB hate is unjustified, the champion was perma banned against DK all split, and almost carried KT to Worlds in G5. I don't dislike LS, I found some of his opinions very interesting, but other times I simply think he's being different for the sake of being different. High highs, low lows.

What a weird argument to use when talking to someone who obviously does care... 2.) I mean, he does have a very deep understanding of the game and talks to many other people who also have a deep understanding of the game. When he says that a champ is strong, there usually is a valid reason for it. Doesn't mean he is always right, you can only go so far using theory alone, but he is right often enough to take his theorycrafting very seriously. Predicted that Ivern was strong for years, argued for f keys before anyone used them or most famously: The Liandries situation. Also, he does often practically test his ideas too, he is not just talking out of his ass. 3.) Thats an appeal to authority fallacy. And if you are really good or enemies don't properly abuse the weaknesses of your champ you can make very suboptimal picks look very OP. I can't argue for or against LB, I could make steel men for both sides of the argument, but just saying "Its good because a good team won with it" is not a good argument. Maybe he sometimes is different for the sake of being different, but as I said, often there are good things behind what he says. And he generally does invite actual discussion and lets the people around him call his BS, so its not like his more crazy ideas dont get challanged. Those pro tier lists especially are done with the help of actual pros and former pros. Thats why in my book his takes have a ot of merit and do warrant being taken seriously-

He got it from visualizing how the matchup plays out and talking to challenger fiddle and rumble players. There have been times where he consults two different one tricks of each respective champ to evaluate the match up or to even demonstrate what he's saying. LS was hyping up Nasus for years before he's now finally being picked in pro-play despite barely receiving any changes. He demonstrated its power in a support role against T1 Academy a couple years ago and he wasn't even a Nasus one trick lol

LS is mostly wrong in most cases, he was just one of the first people who decided to try and analyze League in depth and show it to the world, thus coming up with specific terms and concepts that were unknown to the casual players at the time. Because of that, people thought he was some sort of genius who knows everything. Then, as people got smarter about the game and learnt more about how it works, they realized that most of what LS said was complete dumbassery that is either plainly wrong or just cannot be applied realistically. Thing is, he managed to gather a lot of believers, mostly people who couldn't ever critically think and judge if whatever LS said is right or wrong, they just blindly swalloed everything he was saying and yeah, we reached this point now that finally he is kinda irrelevant, his views are pretty widely considered dumb and no one really takes him, his tierlists or his theorycrafting seriously anymore.

@@ArcaneTricksterRS there is a difference with skill ceilling and skill floor... you are talking about skill floor, to call someone wrong because they said his skill ceilling is high. lets think about another example, so neither of us get biased for a second. Soraka: shes a very low skill floor, but relatively high skill ceilling champion. what does that mean? Shes very simple for a beginner to pick up and play, because even if you miss your Q, you can still heal quite a lot with just W and ult. you can get away with your positioning skills by just standing behind your carries and tanks, avoiding any kind of interaction with your opponent, basically a walking healing kit that eventually runs out and goes base. if you have that sort of playstyle, warmogs makes it even more braindead easy to perform. that means her skill floor is low, because you can do a lot from the very beginning of your experience with her However, her skill ceilling is quite high. Because, if you hit all of your Qs, you get MUCH stronger sustain for both you and your teammate, plus movespeed so you and the ADC can kite your opponents easier. playing aggressively in lane as her is really good, as she has tons of poke and self sustain to dominate and win most trades in bot lane that dont end up in a all in. positioning your E carefuly, at the right place and at the right time, can decide the whole course of an entire teamfight, like placing right as the enemy katarina starts ulting your team, or on top of the Ornn who's about to R2, denying a route for your enemies so they are forced to not walk or get rooted, etc. the exact same thing going on for Soraka, is the case for Yone. You can pick him up, press E Q3 to gap close and auto attack your opponent + unmissable W to win way too many trades in mid lane, and if you have enough items its enough to kill an ADC without hitting a single ability besides W while getting away safely. but if you DO know how to play him, and hit all of your abilities, space properly, ult as many backline enemies as possible, this champion becomes super flashy and enjoyable to watch. of course, i hate him as much as you do, and hate when i watch him just aa someone to death, but in pro play where they actually pilot him to his full potential, he's quite fun to watch, compared to things like malzahar, sej, maokai.

LB was on life support despite playing really really well for majority of the game and then she died once and became completely useless. While Yone was a like ticking time bomb feeling and being much more of a threat despite being camped, bullied and like 0-3. These series really illustrated well why ls doesn't like LeBlanc. She can be 10-0 and you can still easily lose control of the game while actual good champs can be a factor even despite some mistakes or poor execution there and there.

Rumble isn't bad necessarily now, it's just that maybe AP mid laners are coming back, and then if you also have Rumble in top, you completely lack physical damage, considering Ziggs can also exist. Basically, it might force a meta where you can only play Rumble or Ziggs, therefore there won't be that high prio for Rumble anymore.

@@EverTruu Zeka's obviously a very good mid but I think he usually performs best on melee mids like Sylas, Akali, and Yone. In my mind those are his 3 best champs. Doesn't mean he'll just int if he can't play them but he almost always looks like one of the best in the world whenever he gets to play melee mids and they're in a good spot in the meta.
