i highly doubt riot is going to publish two different mmos, especially if they were to come out at similar times. mmos are notorious for having a terrible return on investment if they're not immediately a smashing success. if riot wants to guarantee that even one of their mmos manages to stay afloat and have some longevity, they either have to make it subscribe-to-play (like wow and ffxiv) or free to play with an ungodly amount of microtransactions, and both of those options will alienate quite a large chunk of people. also, them hiring people with mmo experience doesn't necessarily indicate that they intend on having those employees work on an mmo. for all we know, those people could be helping to develop any number of systems (questing, narrative, loot, etc) present in all different kinds of rpgs. my best guess is that project T might be some kind of warframe-inspired project that has online capabilities but isn't a full mmorpg. i do think that the league mmo has more feasibility as it has a very fleshed out world to build upon and an audience that enjoys/will tolerate games with longer time commitments, but seeing as riot has never taken an interest in pay-to-play games (riot forge doesn't count), i fear for what the monetization in the mmo might look like.

pedro, an mmo needs atleast over 5 years in the oven, they just redid development for the mmo this year so it would probably come out 2030ish realistically, not to mention all the other side projects theyre working on as well thats still yet to release and now more news of what theyre trying to do new as well with thematic seasons, new shows triple that of arcane, a fighting game, another mmo based on valorant, etc.

I wouldnt mind a differnet animation studio going forwad. Arcane looks amazing but the expense is huge and I really want more story and time with the characters (more episodes). Arcane could have been a way more in depth story (not that it was anywhere near bad, I just wanted a bid more development). And they can't rush the Ionian war, It's gotta be longer than Arcane.

That is the issue with mutiverses in general... However, in this one, you can imagine that this is the one universe that really matters since it's the one where Jayce saves Viktor from himself, which is what future-supermage-bearded Viktor was trying to accomplish. Once the timeloop is closed/broken/finished (unclear on that matter), the alternative realities cease to have a reason to exist, At least, that is how I understand it. Not just that, but the alternative realities need to stay closed to the characters we are following as symbolized by Ekko's sacrifice (his relationship with nice-Jinx) and Heimerdinger's literal sacrifice. In the end, Ekko fatally gets back where he belongs and leaves his alter-ego in his own universe, and that is the end of it. He doesn't have a way to get back to this universe as far as we know at the end of the show. So the one universe that does matter is the one Arcane focused on, despite that they showed us a glimpse of what-could-have-been, and proved that the multi-verse theory is indeed a possibility in that universe. I do not see them re-use that in future shows though, or at least, I hope so, just like you !

The arcane team has been saying that the original plan was always for season 2 to be 9 episodes. Viktor sucks because he is a self contradiction right from the start of his glorious evolution. After Jayce shoots him he decides that humanity is better off in his hands (It obviously isn't because he sends jayce to kill himself) but them creating hextech was a full display of free will and disobeying the entire piltover government to create and innovate. HE MADE HIMSELF FROM HIS OWN FREE WILL TO BELIEVE IN JAYCE AND HELP HIM, and now he decides no one else should have that chance. Great character got completely gutted because they needed a villain.
