I couldn't stop crying after I had finished the episode, I had to stop watching any more after an hour because it affect me so much, my boyfriend and his brother tried to make me laugh after crying but it didn't work but I still really enjoyed having Caesar in the show he was an amazing character and now when everyone brings him up or anything related to him I just can't help myself sheds a tear for our sunflower boy

What’s so sad was that the highlight of Joseph’s youth and his time with Caesar was literally just the summer, only a couple months. Everything they went through together became events of the past. Joseph grew up and had a family and Caesar’s life just ended there back in 1939. Now Joseph isn’t the protagonist anymore and all of these moments were just history

I see it's an old comment but I still want to say that even short experiences (a few months) can have a big impact on us, even maybe for life. Jojo's and Caesar's time together was relevantly short but with the extra intense circumstances\experiences surrounding it it made their time together quite impactful. Stuff like the threat of the Piller men, Jojo's life at risk, intensive training together, living together, making a first true friend (which non of them seem to had before) and loosing that friend who you trained and fought with (and thinking it was your fault) can really scar you to a certain degree and maybe even for life. It's maybe not visible on Joseph later on but that's usually a defense mechanism of the human brain (and Akari not really caring to explore any of that) but I believe Joseph would always remember Caesar. Especially when seeing bubbles. Sadly Akari doesn't go too deep into his stories, he cuts his characters pretty fast, but for that you have fans that create some touching comics that explore their friendship more and help us to fill up the emotional gap Akari left us with.
