JC and Nicole's deep conversation definitely hit home for me. If my father's toxic family members hadn't already passed before I met my love, it would have been very hard for me to introduce him to them. The ones who remain are honestly trying to do better, so I am more likely to introduce him to them if/when they come around again. Until then, I have my boundaries with them and those boundaries are respected.

I love how this series shows me how I wish my next relationship to be. How I want to be in life. And it's amazing that all the Characters are the one and same person. But they are all each of them their OWN person. I love this series.

One explanation for this: She had access to her own partitioned account pre-Civil War, but had the wherewithal to “drain”the account before the cutoff could effect it. Was simple to do so then - considering her gender at the time. She protected & provided with her money in secret while protecting the newly freed on their way North. ✨💰✨ EDIT: Speaking of cutoffs, I laughed way too hard at the joke at the end. 🤣

Honestly I had this thought for a few seconds but ended up writing it off as everyone misunderstanding Janine's situation. They think that just because there is someone in her family in a position of power that she got her position because of it, but we know she didn't. Also I think that information came from Patrick before getting to know her so could be considered biased

@@CMAlongi As I try and come up with something to keep continuity I'll say it was a clan member who was just throwing her a bone and is trying to make her a worse person so she'll return to the clan and fully accept them. Either that or it's a younger vampire that Janine saw like family after leaving her clan who she actually likes and is only annoyed because he lacks experience and she doesn't like having to report to someone she considers her little brother, creating a sorta rivalry where the younger vampire is trying to prove himself while Janine does better almost everytime with the government not recognizing her efforts and instead giving the credit to him.
