I'm really impressed with what Ducati has done with the Desert Sled and the Cafe Racer. They are very clean designs, and quite appealing in person. They have that special Ducati character, in an easy-to-ride form that should appeal to new riders as well as to anyone else looking for a fun, lightweight bike. I think Ducati, Triumph, and BMW are all on the right track with their modern/retro bikes, and I hope it leads to getting more people out and about on motorcycles.

That Ducati is art with two wheels... "absolutely beautiful" Take care Medel

Ah, I didn't know they changed the rake angle to make it so insanely and ridiculously steep. That would explain the unstable, nervous handling when I test rode one. The Desert Sled is by far the best bike of the Scrambler line-up. What an amazing machine!

I have one - great fun bike for around town and short trips. Peppier than the Icon, very nimble and I like being forward over the bars, and not see my front tire. It revs around 4000 RPM at 55 miles, I figure going 80 miles will rev 6-7K, which after a while will numb the hand, like the Icon did to my hand. But the Worst of the bike is the HEAT from engine under the seat on your thighs & butt! Don't get stuck in traffic - keep moving! It gets SO HOT I have to stand and tilt my butt off the side. And I wear riding pants! Inherent to Ducati bikes I guess. Will be great in winter for warmth. :)

I love in a very hot country all throughout the year. Riding is fine but on stop and go traffic in the middle of the afternoon, it is unusable. Any recommendation how to combat that like with some sort of wrap around for the calves? The headers are already wrapped and it did not help.

Did you guys upload this with image stabilization? The panning shots of the bike have a swimming effect, especially in the background. It's really distracting.

i guess i have to see it in person since everyone say it looks great. on every video i have seen, the bike looks disproportion. the fuel tank looks too small and the front suspension is too long. i tough the front suspension should be more like a sport bike and not the same as the scrambler.

I would take a Tiumph street cup all day....a more classic and authentic bike in my opinion even if it's a bit down on power....
@SineOccasu7 жыл бұрын
I don't know about authentic. The original cafe racers were just regular street bikes modded afterwards by owners. That being said, I think both look really nice.

Great idea take raised handlebars, knobbly tires, powerful, scrambler bike, and put clip on on it and shrink the front wheel. How are you going to scramble with that? You’re not so why is it called a scrambler?I have one of these, but there’s no such thing as a café racer that can scramble and scrambler that has clip on and there’s a café racer. The same way there is not a jet airplane 747 that is used as a single fighter pilot weapon of, her to combat. And the F-16 is also not a passenger plane. And this seems there is no such thing as a scrambler racer, and there’s no such thing as a racer scrambler. A scrambler is a scrambler and a café racer is a café racer. A scrambler is what we used in the 70s and 80s to drive around the hills and the tracks and the quarries. Not on the road looking cool like the Nightshift and the Ducati scrambler. They are street bikes. Sure, they can do a bit of scrambling, soaking my hand wave no less than the Ducati 803. yeah the café racer has about 1 inch shorter front shocks and the 17 inch front wheel instead of a 19 inch making it smaller than the rear wheel, making it no way scrambler so let’s just call it. The Ducati Café eraser please because it has nothing to do with the scrambler. I was born in 1965 and began racing motocross in 1975. I’m sorry no offense but millennials don’t have a clue what a scrambler is but if you look at scrambling in the 60s 70s and 80s on KZbin and the history of British motorcycling and the history of motorcycling itself you might learn something.when I became a tattoo artist, I had to learn the history of tattooing. If you think you’re a biker, you have to learn the history as well. If not, you just a Richard head. the short name for Richard is of course. Of course you can take it off the road if you want, but you’re not going to have fun with clips on. So why the duck is everybody calling you and ducking scrambler? Because it doesn’t scramble.😊 as I said, I have the 2020 silver and blue Limited Café racer (scrambler) I don’t like to use that word with this bike, but it’s not really a scramble apart from that I took off the clip and raised the handlebars and bought some longer clutch and brake cables from BMW and they lowered the back shock so I’m sitting in it comfortably instead of leaning forward getting ready to do a tank slapper/the wobble of death. This reviewer obviously doesn’t on the bike and drive it every day and push it to 180 to 200 KMH, if not he would have had a tank slapper like I have had three times and changes underpants at least three times. make the decisions based on reviews made by people who haven’t even rode the bike every day until they really know what they’re talking about. and the stock exhaust even the terminal your knees sound absolutely horrible. You have to change them. & changing the rake on the “scrambler“ to make it steeper and lessening turning angle, what is the pint in doing that to a scrambler? Well, it’s to save money, not designing a new frame to compete with the Thruxton because the frame is not a café racer frame. The Thon is a café racer from triumph. This bike is neither a café racer or a scrambler. A bit like the hyper motor is not a road bike not an off-road bike. It’s not adventure touring, but it tries to be all of them in war and fails it all three goals, I’ve got five catties and I love every model I’ve ever driven except the hyper Motard. What a piece of crap. I do love my Ducati “Café scramble” and my Night Shift. But it still say they’re not really scramblers and they shouldn’t be called that you guys these days if you were born after 1970 you don’t really have a clue what the scrambler is. The front forks are also too short unless you’re on the track or flat tarmac. The Ducati Night Shift, till now is the best of the scrambler arrange that I have tried, including the full throttle. anyways, it’s Covid. All of the models they could not sell they’ve converted into five models based on one model. Which way we’ve got about six different scramblers, it’s why the Yamaha XS are you exactly the same engine as the empty Yamaha regardless it if it’s however, many CC the 700 or the 900. It’s just the same with the slightly different tank inside panels. So what they’re really doing is dressing up the same product differently and selling it as 10 different products.

Mekhanic1 so damn true. I can't stand the duck scrambler anyways what kind of bike doesn't come with a friggin skid plate. I'd love to know how many broke sods have smashed that expensive Italian underbelly on a fat rock and watched as the oil runs out of a shattered block. It's a good street bike but def hasn't earned the scrambler badge.

Mekhanic1 i'm waiting for the Scrambler Cafe Racer Adventure GS. And, maybe that's why Victory closed up shop; they didn't make a Scambler version of their Vision Tour. Damn, missed opportunity. What ever happened to "it's a motorcycle?"
