Kid Kash was my favourite TNA wrestler circa 2010. It was a pleasure to see him pop up on the show. He was really intense and everything he did looked real.

Kind of ironic as his TNA run around the 2004--05 era was probably the best one (at least imo) he ever had in a mainstream American promotion. Loved when he was a heel and basically dominated the X-Divsion around that point. Loved his pairing with Trinity too, as it reminded me a lot of Lita's former but short lived partnership with Essa Rios/Mr. Aguila in WWE.

I would say his ECW run, they even put the TV title on him in 2000.

Thing is it wasn't just TNA that saw AJ as a more talented wrestler than Kash, Kid Kash was good and I really liked him in TNA/WWE growing up but other indy promotions like 3PW for example had AJ go over Kash too. Look up how many matches Kid Kash has had in his career then look up how many matches AJ Styles had even though Kash started way before him. The difference in talent speaks for itself.

Aj had already rejected WWE by this point. AJ was booed as he was a heel in this area. I grew up watching NWA Nashville which became NWA TNA after Bert Prentice split off and made USA Championship wrestling which took NWA Nashville spot in our local scene.

1:05 yeah that's the idea, you take seasoned guys who were never that big or are on the way down and you use them to get your new talent over, by not doing this then you are only holding the young guys down - which has been complained about in WCW and WWE as young talent could never get ahead. TBH I can't even remember him in TNA.

Kid Kash forgot how he was the most over talent in the early TNA years . I don't even think he realizes how influential he was to modern day wrestling. From his ring work, to his ahead of it's time heel work, even to his ring gear lol every single diva ripped off his leathery cowboy hat and chaps get-up. Trish Stratus, Mickie James , Victoria, Sasha, etc. He's not lying about him being the reason it took so long for Aj Styles to get over, but it wasn't because we hated aj so much but more because we wanted Kid Kash to get that top spot.
