When Gail said she doesn't know how some people in that company last as long as they do, I asked myself that same exact question lol.

Hell yeah! Don’t let that discourage you. I remember there was an indie wrestler (he might actually still work) named Gran Akuma who started around that age and had some pretty good runs in northeastern US indies. Have fun!

No shame I started a 29 it took a year for me to even get anybody to even talk to me and then I went on my first loop at 31. Also for the year of 32 you have no idea how many waterboy jokes you're going to walk into when promoters and fellow wrestlers ask you how old you are and you say I am 32 years old... I don't know maybe that was just something I brought on myself but it was all in good fun... I'm getting off track you're my point is I'm saying is that there is a window and a go for it.

I always feel that the Gail Kim vs Awesome Kong feud in TNA was exactly what Shawn Michaels vs Vader COULD have been in the 90s, solidifying Shawn as the best worker in the WWF while building up Vader as the premiere monster he was in every other company.

8:56 What she says here is so true, especially in the world of lucha libre. I've seen numerous indie luchadores that can pull off hurricanranas like it's nothing but can barely apply basic submissions properly. 13:45 Gail Kim on winning the women's title on debut

What an incredible interview with one of our favourites in the business I'm speechless I feel you James I'm marking out too! Knocked this one out of the park! Cafe de Rene is the place to be, the French Phenom and the wonderful Gail Kim in the interview! I completely agree with what Gail said with Moose, he came in few years ago to Impact and has worked incredibly hard to get to where he is today in the company to become the current reigning Impact World Champion, he is carrying the company well for his title reign with some great matches since, Moose has one of the best spears in the business currently imo. Gail Kim is the reason the Knockouts division exists she shown what it means to be a champion and loved her matches, so true that was a legendary feud with Awesome Kong, Gail has paved the way for so many female stars in the promotion and the business!

33:49 they really need to have time off in all professional wrestling. It's brutal mentally and physically around 365 days a year. Because I believe there is always like only one or two days off a week on Raw and Smackdown

I think asian women to white men are what white women are to black men. Insofar that to say that if a white guy goes outside his race it's for an asian gal and if a black guy is going outside his race it's for a white gal. I dunno if it's a holdover from the war or what but coming from the race who can argue everyone else has the about the same eye color, about the same hair color, and their skin tone is brownish to black it says something that asian gals are seen as desirable. It's not merely being "exotic" or there'd be a real push for black women since they are about as exotic as it gets to white men. I dunno the sciences are too ensconced with politics right now to give a good answer but there is something to it because pretty much all the white sub groups have the same feelings that asian girls are hot and it was long before anime. I don't mean what I say to sound offensive I am just saying it in a plain way because clearly there is something there. I don't think it's purely submissiveness either because if that was it why does Japan have a falling birth rate and why are white men/mexican gals not more a thing then? I would think it's the eyes myself because those Japanese gals who go with that more Caucasian look stop being hot or maybe it's being able to maintain a attractive look without being the town bike? Who knows? Nor is it a "trophy" thing as well because it's not a seen as a marrying up. Speculating maybe it's the "who's your biggest threat" thing subconsciously since we aren't that worried about Muslims, blacks, and Hispanics are technically on the team but China/North Korea are legit existential threats and Japan was before that?

The common interracial couples in America are Black Men/White Women, White Men/Asian Women, and Black/Latino (either gender). I'm a White Man married to a Black Woman and I don't see a lot of couples who look like my wife and me, but that's starting to change. I think a lot of White guys who watch Hip Hop music videos frequently are starting to become attracted to what they see sexualized. White or Black women with Asian Men are pretty rare. Perhaps it's a size thing because women want to be the shorter/smaller one in the relationship. On average, Asians seem to be shorter than Whites, and Blacks seem to be bigger boned/larger than Whites. (I know that's politically incorrect to say.)

Also, skin tones vary greatly among Blacks and Asians and Latinos, and Middle Easterners and Indigenous peoples. Ethiopians are very light skinned compared to Sudanese. Japanese are often much lighter than Indonesians. But yes, blue eyes and green eyes and blonde hair and red hair are far more common with little melanin (fairer skin). However, they're are very dark skinned people in India with auburn hair and Pacific Islanders with dishwater blonde hair. Sometimes Black people can get blue eyes or reddish hair.

Alls this woman wanted to do was compete, she doesn’t have ego, she doesn’t care for politics, she’s not judgemental. She just wanted to do what she loved. You kinda think it’s a shame it’s so toxic. The Stephanie thing is forced, she didn’t care about women’s wrestling that’s just PR for SJW marketing in a post 2018 landscape.
