I was meandering around KZbin the other day, and ran across your channel. Bike building and fabrication is a special interest to me. I moved from my last house with a 24X48 pole building to this house which has a 2 car garage that won’t hold 2 cars. Very discouraging. But you have more than proven that it can be done. Maybe there are bike builds in my future again. Thanks for your content.

Dan took a humble rumble on the bike! :-) The seat...I think thinner at the "drivers" bit, makes a support at the back. Walking dead? My son did, and I watched passing the sofa. I only saw some bloke on a chopper/bobber'ish bike. To hold that seat in position...hmm, you have some wiring too since you put the light in the sofa. Could be fun with a belt attached to the bottom of the frame, between the frame and rear mudguard, going over the seat like the arrangement they have on old sportscars over the bonnet! You know, the Bugatti's and such. :-) I will on my build! :-) Oh, it's snowing now! ...no hurries then...

Love the walking dead and have a deep love for Daryl’s bike. I think the seat would be awesome in a diamond knit tan leather/ pleather. Seat shape looks good. Don’t thin it too much for off road use. What if you weld the flap to the hoop then you can run a bolt wing nut though the both with access from the bottom.

For the seat mount, simple solution which is common to motocross bikes from the last 100 years is tangs at the side which bolt on the outside just behind the shock mounts, I've used this on my CB 250, easy to remove the seat, I've had many CR 250 mx bikes and a couple of RM 250's, on the whole, all mx bikes use this method, I'll post a pic on your FB page, the 250 is nearly done ;)..

Started off my project the same way looking at daryl dixon's bike. Old Honda's over here in the UK are crazy expensive because everyone's doing the cafe racer projects with them. I wanted something shaft drive really like a BMW but there even more expensive than the Honda's lol. I wanted to do a budget build, no set budget just cheap as possible. Eventually bought an old Kawasaki GTR 1000 for £150. Somewhere along the build I forgot about Daryl Dixon's bike and it's just turning into my own version of some mixture between a cafe race and a scrambler but one that can do long distances in comfort. So the frames been chopped and changed to fit my 6ft4 gorilla frame lol. I'm hoping to get it finished in the next few months and it's looking like it's going to be around a £500 bike build hopefully
@CafeRacerGarage5 жыл бұрын

I've been looking into seat mounting for my own scrambler project, and I have come up with an idea that I haven't seen on any cafe racers/scramblers before, not sure why because it makes complete sense to me. I'm going to use a seat latch like this one: www.google.com/search?q=kawasaki+ninja+seat+latch&client=ms-android-samsung&prmd=isvn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwie1OqS_vzfAhWdUBUIHRdYCHAQ_AUoAXoECAsQAQ&biw=360&bih=560 There is loads of bikes that have this type of latch, it has a cable coming off it, which could easily be swapped for a longer one, and attached to a Choke leaver type thing somewhere hidden under the seat, so you pull the Choke lever and the seat pops off. Simple. You might need to get a latch made up on a lathe or else take it off the seat that the latch comes off

@HilltopZombieShop5 жыл бұрын
Early seasons of Walking Dead were great. I quit watching because the writing and pacing became horrible. One season the protagonists are mad dog killers. Next season they're crippled with fear and begging for mercy. Also, it takes an entire episode to finish a single mediocre plot point. (And I have been the Hilltop Zombie Shop since 2002 well before zombies became trendy)
