Computer assisted translation tools assist you in translation, that is what makes it different from machine translation engines like Google translate and deepL. Machine translation engines translate on its own using AI, however CAT tools just helps you translate manually. In most CAT tools you can connect both when you activate machine translation/ AI in a CAT tool site/app. Hope this helps!
