You are so right about the wet into wet stage being like a mind game. It’s like you’re unsure whether the water will do what you want, whether one wrong move will mess it up

So helpful! Your talk about not being afraid of failing while the painting looks so flat helped me stay hopeful! I’m having trouble taking my painting from that phase to 3D looking phase! Now I realize it can be a challenging process even for you! Thanks a lot for the video and lovely painting

Thank you for this video. Yesterday when I was painting a bunny, after the first wash I was like ffs, I screwed up again, here we go. Then I realized Im saying this sentence in my head after every single first wash :D of every painting :D What you said makes total sense, there is not much after first wash, just big blobs of washed out colors so really what you have to do is to keep going and keep bringing the painting to life. Have a good day x

Awesome demonstration! I love the the library you painted (frequently visit it too and love the blossoming cherry season). Also, the answer to your wife’s question if she is as beautiful as your painting portray her: “No painting can be as beautiful as you!” 😊. Ps. Do you do local workshops or classes? Would love to come and learn! Thanks!
