A classic case of people wanting the government to parent their kids for them, maybe they should pay attention to what their kids are consuming? Just a thought.
@CaffeineMan1
@CaffeineMan1 Жыл бұрын
What?!?!? You want a parent to watch their kid? From what I’ve seen over the last few years the kids are controlling the parents. And a lot of parents still think they’re kids and want to seem “cool” to their kids. Carefree. I mean, there’s probably a high percentage of parents who dont even know caffeine is bad for kids. What a world… 🤷🏻‍♂️

When you take into consideration that his fans are mostly children, and that nobody is able to watch their children 24/7….. you guys don’t know what you’re talking about and I don’t even have kids. Even online content…. Considering most kids need the internet to complete their assignment these days, it’s impossible to prevent children from being exposed to stuff they shouldn’t be exposed to. Unless you have your child with you while you work a job or do stuff like house chores, good luck.

I understand your decision not to support him. There have been a lot of issues with him and a lot of people feel the same way. As for your comment of No One is drinking Prime, thats not actually accurate. Tons of people are drinking it. It was selling out everywhere and people had to resort to buying it online for a higher price to get it. Well, thats the hydration drink. The energy drink did not have the same issues. Even that is still selling well though.

@@CaffeineMan1 while i dont drink much caffeine anymore so i dont care too much for prime energy, but prime hydration is low sodium which for someone with high blood pressure is nice to see in a sports drink. I think the biggest reason prime is targeted is the owner is Logan Paul which seems to be more of an influencer to younger audiences, but given but given how much caffeine is in PRIME compared to others its actually somewhat tame. EDIT: im not using PRIME as a primary electrolyte replacement for working out as per Food Theory you need sodium more as you lose more of it while exercising compared to the Potassium and Magnesium that PRIME mainly has. I use it more for a water replacement where i want something sweet that still hydrates.

Honestly, they are probably in bigger trouble for what they did in Canada. For those who don't know, any energy drink needs to be approved by Health Canada before being sold in the country. This means that the drink needs meet HC's specifications (Ingredients, amount of caffeine...etc). This is usually a lengthy process and can result in some ingredient changes for the drink. Considering Canada's population size to distribution requirements, most companies don't even bother. This is why we just got ZOA here this summer. And PRIME Energy.....just ignored them. Health Canada said no. PRIME energy was selling here anyways. Now there is a big recall and investigation. I know its widely agreed that KSI and Logan Paul are just the front men for this drink but TBH this move is so blatantly arrogant and greedy that it has their names all over it.

Thank you for posting about this and informing us more on it. I totally agree with you on this article and what a joke it is. A lot of people really need to get educated on this stuff before they jump all over it and just say it's bad without even knowing anything about it because they read just what the headline says and that's it. The last thing we need is more government control over us and telling us what we can and can't do. If people can't think for themselves, I am sorry but don't blame that company when you could have known about it very clearly by just doing a little research on it first. People I think tend to be too lazy at times and just say stuff without even knowing what they are saying just because a few people said this about that product. What I thought was really funny on this article I sent you on this is that the pic they show on the article shows the hydration drink and not the energy drink itself and then talks in the headline how it has as much caffeine as 6 cokes. People not knowing the difference between the two will mostly think this pic of the hydration drink is the one with the caffeine in it when it's not the real energy drink.

So, yes, personal responsibility and all, sure. That said, I think everyone is downplaying how easy it is to confuse things. Yes, you need to be educated on what you get your kids, but it is impossible to know absolutely everything for every single product. I think caffeinated products should have to very very clearly label how much caffeine their product has, in a similar way to how many calories are in a product. And no, the way that it's listed now, where you scour the product and have to look all over the place to find the content. I'm saying it needs to be front, center, and blatant. How many times have we spent a full minute or two looking to find how much caffeine is in our drinks? It's there, sure, but so often it's buried in big blocks of text.
@CaffeineMan1
@CaffeineMan1 Жыл бұрын
Lots of good point here. It is difficult on some cans to find the caffeine count. Even if it has the 18+ warning, sometimes finding the actual caffeine count is tough. It shouldn't be the smallest print on the can in some obscure place. They should include it in the Nutrition Facts panel or maybe require it to be on the front towards the bottom of the can. If its right on the front, you can't miss it. That being said, when I go to work in the morning, we have a variety of 10 different Kuerig coffees we can select for ourselves. One is called "half-caff" claiming half the caffeine of regular coffee.... but... doesnt say how much caffeine is in it. SO, I went to the regular Caff flavor, no caffeine listed. Zero out of ten of the boxes listed how much caffeine was in the coffee. If they make it clearer on energy drinks, they should require it on coffee too.

I'm sick and tired of EVERYTHING having to be kid-friendly. Parent your kids people! If you just wanna sit around on Facebook all day and your kid gets into a bad situation, get off Facebook and watch your kids! There are gonna be lots and lots of things in our world that are intended for adults, cigarettes and liquor for example. But if some parent checked out and their kid was smoking Camels or drinking Captain Morgan, we'd rightly blame the parent. Why do parents all of a sudden get a pass when it comes to other things? I laughed at the "6 Cokes" headline. Lots of kids drink 2+ cases of Coke a day! Should Domino Sugar get the blame when people eat too much sugar and get diabetes? Should Wesson Oil or Mazola get the blame when people have too much deep fried food and wind up having a heart attack and 45? Should Gold's Gym or YMCA get the blame when somebody tries to lift a weight that's too much for them or run at a pace that's too fast for them and get injured? I'm gonna have to start using the "cauldron of caffeine" line. I drink a gallon of coffee a day, I live my life neck-deep in a cauldron of caffeine! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
